Nakajima Atsushi is the main character of Bungou Stray Dogs and he has an awesome charm, which no other individual character in this anime has. (＾▽＾)/

He is a 18-year-old boy, who was kicked out from the orphanage, which was about to be destroyed, being attacked by a man-eating tiger and he ended up being at a loss in Yokohama city. Almost being starved to death, he decides to survive, stealing money and valuables from people. Then he ends up working at “Armed Detective Agency” where Dazai Osamu belongs to, after a strange encounter with Dazai Osamu. First, let me tell you about Nakajima Atsushi’s personality.

Labeled as “a no-good-person” (”an useless person”) without parents and friends since he was born, he doesn’t have any confidence. Furthermore, he has traumatized due to the fact that he has been abused by staff at orphanage. With all these complicated past, though, we can see his cheerful personality from his changeable expression. ヾ(o´∀｀o)ﾉ
How about his appearance? The most characteristic part is his hair, don’t you think? Only one side of sideburns is long and the bangs are completely cut diagonally. Σ(´□｀ﾉ)ﾉ

I’ve heard that staff who produces this animation has a strong preference about this hair. The staff made a comment on a page of a magazine especially about the angle of the bungs: “I want to show his forehead but hide his eyebrows a little bit as well. This angle makes it look more like Atsushi.”
By the way, in this story, his hair became that weird since he was abused when he was in the orphanage, not because of his preference. (Since I like eccentric hair, I wish that was his preference. ( ∩ˇωˇ∩))

One of this story’s attractions is unique characters. Nakajima Atsushi feeds “such” unique members of Armed Detective Agency lines, clearly expressing his own feeling so that other characters can stand out, instead of turning them off or leaving them behind. (･_･)ヾ(^o^;)

Especially the scene of the river, where he encounters with Dazai Osamu, is just so shocking, so you should actually watch the story in anime. After 3rd episode, a suspicious character, Akutagawa Ryuunosuke appears and we can see the plot of the story from those three people. They announced that Season 2 of Bungou Stray Dogs will be animated. Even people who haven’t watched before can also enjoy the story. “Bungou” sounds a little hard topic for us but don’t worry!!
