Pandora Hearts is a dark fantasy in the motif of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass（*´∀｀)
There are many individualistic characters in this anime and comic. The protagonist Oz is a daring rambunctious boy but also looks sad. Alice is a girl who looks girly and cute but also had scary aspect. Gilbert is Oz’s best friend and loyal servant. Sharon is a lady of uncertain age, ladylike and grounded. Break is a strange, as rude as he could be and sweet junkie servant of Sharon. The interpretation of the world attract people who likes a story with gothic and nostalgic atmosphere (・∀・)
As an aside, I like Break personally. He is cynical all the time, has a sloppy character and potential diabetic any way you look at him but he is actually he is very royal. Including his terrible attitude that you cannot imagine he has little time to live since he is riddle with chain, he is a good servant (*´∀｀) I envy Sharon.
My most favorite scene of Break is his spitting abuse to Oz by letting himself out by saying “You are spooky bad boy” (*´∀｀*) Since Break rarely let himself out, when I saw the scene I became Eh?!(゜_゜) He might be born with his foot in his mouth!
The scene Break flings off “I dislike irresponsive statement ‘for someone’” when Cheshire abducts him gave me goose bump!!(*´ω｀*) Cheshire-related scenes were very important scenes which made me like Break more and those scenes drew both indescribable eeriness and strength of Break!
The story is complicated so I was watching it with the face like (゜_゜)? I felt like seeing trough this story, felt lonely and cannot help doing something when I see the indescribable melancholic atmosphere and each character’s hope as the story continues (´・ω・`)
Especially, when I think about my most favorite character Break has little time to live and his death is inevitable, I have mixed feelings that I want to witness but at the same time I don’t want to witness his earnest desire (´・ω:;.:...
You might not be able to grasp the story and interpretation of the world in the first 1 or 2 episode since the plot and setting are complicated but it is the story starting from the protagonist Oz does not know anything and all the riddles are unlabeled gradually. Therefore, readers and viewer can also get a feel for Oz (*´ω｀*)
