Bravely Default is a game made by creators who created “Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light”. But this is not a sequel of it. This game has been enshrined in the Famitsu Cross Review Hall of Fame, won award of excellence and new face of 2012 Famitsu Awards, won first place in the consumer game category of Dengeki Online Awards and won award of excellence in the future category of 2012 Japan Game Awards and in the game of the year category of 2013 Japan Game Awards.
From 1 November, 2012, browser game “BRAVELY DEFAULT PRAYING BRAGE” started. As a coupled project, you can get dress-up item for Edea and it can be used for Nintendo 3DS.
Cristal Orthodox professes four crystals. At a wind temple at where one of the four crystal wind crystal is enshrined, when the Wind Vestal Agnes Oblige started saying her prayers, darkness came out from the crystal covered all around. Agnes couldn’t do anything and got out of the temple somehow. Tiz, who is a protagonist, lost his younger brother due to a big hole which destroyed his home town. Ringabel is an amnesia man having a note book in which the future is written. Since it is written in the notebook, he goes along with Tiz. Edea who is the daughter of a Marshal who gave up on his country in atagonism to enormity of the country, goes along with them. Their destiny voyage to clean up country from the darkness is started.
The character who is the most popular is Edea. She is true to herself and too cute. She can be said as a protagonist in some meaning. I thought I would like Agnès before playing the game, but after I played it, I am a Edea person. Firstly, I got confused since she is bohemian and selfish. However, as the story develops, I was impressed by her attitude to move forward. When I listened to BGM of Edea “Hinadori (vocalized version)” after playing the game, she became my most favorite character above all. She is admirable to betray her country and decided to find out what is the truth for herself at that young age. Her strength is also appealing that she can tolerate the suffer to fight against her master and older sister. What is more, conversation between Edea nad Ringabel is like a married couple and made me smile many times! The voice of Ringabel is sexy. I wanted to know about his past so I played the game slowly. He is handsome but missing few screws. I like his front hair and his treated as an outcast in big situations. Actually I didn’t like him somehow at the first but as the story develops, I like his big brother-like personality even he is hilarious usually.
