“Walkure Romanze” was originally released as mature-rated PC game. Since it became popular, it was made into anime. Romantic comedy and fighting spirit are blended in good portion. The story is set in Helen’s hill in Europe. In this town, there is a big time joust school, Winford academy. Most characters are student of this academy.
Central character Mizuno Takahiro is a foreign student from Japan. He attends Winford academy to test his ability but he had an injury that ended his carrier. After that he is diligent in knight assistant study. One day, his friend Kisaki Mio comes into joust by misunderstanding. She is a beginner of joust. Takahiro can’t bear to see her being at a complete loss. He entered into undertaking her assistant until the duel. Her friends Noel and Akane also supported her. She won the duel thanks to her ability and is drawn into the lure of joust gradually. Takahiro re-examines himself through interaction with Mio and other heroines.
In the game joust scene is delineated in beautiful graphic. In anime, the scene is tackled head-on. Even I don’t know joust, I thought it is cool that house is dynamic and wielding lance in heavy armor has a tremendous impact! By the way, these days, joust is not only battle in armor like in the anime but also pushing opponent down by a pole from mountain bike or boat.
Since original is mature-rated PC game, there are sexy scenes in anime too. There are interesting episodes taking advantage of the original. Especially, sketching event episode is terrific. I don’t speak much. So, if you get interested in the episode, please watch episode 7!
My favorite heroine is Celia who is the president of student council! I like uncommunicating Lisa and Bertille who wears skimpy armor. But nothing can compare to Celia’s nobility. She has beautiful long blonde and great body, is the president of student council, prodigy in jousting, stylish in appearance and the oldest daughter of ducal house, gets along with any kind of person and likes teddy bear very much. She is free of defect! Even you are not Akane, you will fall for her. Her loneliness is in and out of the shadow. I want to be supportive! Anime ends as harem. So, if you have a favorite heroine like me and 18 and older, let’s play the game!
