Hamatora is one of the popular anime of winter 2014. I saw girls who attached badges on their bags even at the nearest station. This is a story of private detectives who have a super natural power called “minimum”. However, spree killing targeting “minimum holders” happens. The killer eviscerates brain medulla from dead body and makes artificial minimum holder. The detectives get involved in cases gradually.

Hamatora is an abbreviation of Yokohama Troubleshooter. As you see, his story is set in Yokohama. So we see any familiar places. There are too many so I tell you some representatives. Café Nowhere is a bar “TRIPLE CROWN” near Aratama Bridge. China town at where the protagonist Nice gathers information, Cosmo World at where children having gun gathered in episode 4, Manyo Club which is a hot spring they went in episode 5, Yamashita Park at where Birthday did street performing in episode 2 and Berrick hall which is a garden house appeared in episode 1 are very famous sightseeing sites. Facultas academy is National Convention Hall of Yokohama. Events of voice actors sometimes held here. It takes only 30 minutes by train from Tokyo station to Yokohama. So how about visiting these places when you come to Japan? (^_-)

From the storyline, you may think this is a very serious story. But it is not only serious. There are sometimes comical episodes. In episode 5, gays occupied Manyo Club and Birthday and Ratio were fall under a man’s spell by his pheromone minimum. In episode 8, they do sword fight by using balsam pear. The character I like the most was killed, sadly. The character I like next is Theo. He has been hurt by bad men. He is a poor judge of man’s character. Conversation between Nice and Theo is fun. I like Hajime-chan too! Her heart beats faster when she hears about food. That is so cute!
Nice graduated Facultas academy by record setting performance. Murasaki is the second. So Murasaki knows the painfulness to be the second place always. He tries to beat Nice without using minimum in a sword fight. I thought this is more than someone can manage if you like case of the tail wagging the dog.
Birthday and Ratio are in love with each other lol. When Ratio is young he wasn’t able to interact with other children since Ratio can read human’s death so others think it is creepy. Ratio told Birthday, Birthday would die but he didn’t die. By doing so, Birthday helped Ratio. So Birthday has to save his life also in the future for Ratio.
