This anime is a school comedy about aristocracy William who believes science and demons. This is set in UK at the end of 19th century. William, a son of aristocracy, lost his possessions after his uncle, who is his guardian, filed in business. He went in a basement to search for valuables to avoid getting expelled from school for academic fee unpaid. He found a magic square there and summoned demon Dantalian.
As you can imaging from the set and character design, this is very yaoi animation. It is surprising that very few girls appear on the screen.
