A Great Compilation Package

What we have here from Lion Heart is not a new release, but a collection of their past major games from 2005 to 2010, 4 stand alone games but none of the endless score attacks they put out around the same time frame. Included are Rekkaden, a frantic 4 player, top down shooter; Sanae's Challenge, an action platformer; Mystical Chain, a beat-em up styled action game; and Sanae's Challenge Fusion, a sequel to Sanae's Challenge with new levels and abilities.

All four are very fun and well put together titles: solid gameplay, wonderful music, and excellent spritework. Rekkaden has a great party game feel to it when you have a few humans playing along. Sanae's Challenge Fusion is adorable and offers a lot for high score fanatics- it's the only game I have ever played where the score grades go as high as "S" x 8. Mystical Chain stands out as the best of the 4, though that is only my opinion. It has a sizable amount of replay value with its numerous difficulty settings, three different teams to play as, and even a boss rush mode.

The only faults I would find with this package is that Sanae's Challenge Fusion is pretty much a strict upgrade over its predecessor. I would say there is next to nothing the original does better than Fusion, rendering a title with little to drive you to replay it over Fusion and leaves it as the 'deadweight' of the set. It probably couldn't have hurt to include the endless score attack games like Endless Marisa and Endless Alice Crysis- but that is really stretching to find something to gripe about. If only it had Lion Heart's 2013 release, The Tempest of Heaven and Earth- it would be the perfect Lion Heart combo pack.

All in all, it's a great collection of games from a great circle and I cannot recommend it enough.
