Who is Rengoku Kyoujurou?

Rengoku Kyoujurou is a character in Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a member of The Demon Slayer Corps, an organization that hunts down demons in the story, and is one of the executives known as “Hashira”. His combat ability, which involves wielding a flame-imbued blade, is tremendous, and he has eradicated many demons so far.

His character can be aptly described as a “man burning like a flame”. He has a strong sense of justice, and he is cheerful, lively, and hearty. His personality and way of life greatly influenced the protagonist, Kamado Tanjirou.

In the movie adaptation of Kimetsu no Yaiba - Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, he plays an important character.

Uzui Tengen, like Rengoku Kyoujurou, is one of the “Hashira” members of The Demon Slayer Corps. He is a former ninja and a man who charges into the battlefield more flamboyantly than anyone else.

His personality is extremely flashy and somewhat belligerent. He has a bad mouth and an arrogant attitude, but he can calmly assess situations and act accordingly. He never abandons his subordinates or peers, showcasing a side of him befitting of a superior officer.

These two...... they were hardly ever shown together in the manga. In the anime, there were a few more original scenes where they were together...... no, there were added scenes where they thought of each other, but we can't know what kind of interactions they had.

But they both understood each other's abilities, personalities, and ways of life and respected each other. Rengoku-san commented on Uzui-san, saying 'The trajectory of his swordsmanship is beautiful! This is my first time seeing a ninja! I'm moved! He has a bit too many wives!' On the contrary, Uzui-san evaluated Rengoku-san as 'Flashy! He stands out more than me! But he's a really good guy.' and at the same time, said 'I can't do it like him' in the eighth episode of the second season of the anime.

It's just so...... heartbreaking. For Uzui-san, Rengoku-san was a strong and reliable comrade, and someone who could do things he couldn't, and an existence he couldn't protect......
