I feel like JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE is always serialized.

The story of Slam Dunk is super simple, a high school delinquent Sakuragi Hanamichi meets basketball, and through that he matures. A classic sports manga.

If you put it like that, it’s a pretty simple story.

Yes. There are no magic or fantasy element. But you really can’t take eyes off of how the super-likeable characters compete with other schools to be Japan’s top high school, and I like the manga but I also liked the liveliness of the anime~! It’s easy to understand because it’s simple, and when I real Slam Dunk it makes me want to play basketball!

So I don’t know much about Slam Dunk, but I know that this character, Rukawa, is super-duper popular.

Rukawa is a good character～！He’s the main character, Hanamichi’s rival, cool and good at basketball, and he’s such a popular character that even people who don’t know Slam Dunk has heard of him~! But then, the main character of the currently thriving 2022 movie version is not Hanamichi nor Rukawa.

Yes! I found this surprising as someone who always watched Slam Dunk anime and movie, but the 2022 movie version main character is...... believe it or not, Miyagi Ryota!

Who is Miyagi Ryota......?

Miyagi Ryota is Hanamichi and Rukawa’s teammate, and also their upperclassman character. In the beginning only, he used to fight with Hanamichi who came in after him, but they soon became close and this is a character that becomes a mood maker to the whole basketball team.

Is this the character who’s famous for his quote ‘it’s not time to panic yet.’

THE FIRST SLAM DUNK is SLAM DUNK and not SLAM DUNK! The reason why it trended so much is because it’s made for people who know the manga front-and-back can enjoy new thrills and game’s excitement!

Jumping to the conclusion, I really like that THE FIRST SLAM DUNK is definitely SLAM DUNK, but not the SLAM DUNK that I know. They reveal characters’ past and new information that weren’t in the manga version, but it’s comforting because it has Hanamichi and Rukawa in it too alright. It’s not just a remake, and it’s a good movie version that shows the appeal of the work Slam Dunk from different angles!
