Hello everyone! It’s Saori from Otaku Republic~! 2020 is almost over, huh? Now I’m getting ready for the end of the year and the New Year!

We’ve been featuring various articles in 2020…… This segment Coupling Column, will be the last one updated this year! It’ll be the perfect series for the last issue in 2020! I’ll be featuring combinations from one of the most featured series!

So! Let me introduce the series I’ll be featuring today! I don’t think there’s any Otaku who don’t know this anime! It’s super famous…… Tadaaa!

So today, I’ll pick out three most featured combinations in Pokémon series! Let’s get started!

He is a character who appears in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

He’s been the Champion for ten years without losing a single battle and there’s nobody who doesn’t know him in Galar region. He is everybody’s “ideal” figure. His personality is very cheerful, bright and a little bit off. He is super terrible with directions that he often gets lost. (Therefore, he tries to leave home earlier whenever he goes out.)

He is very responsible for being as a Champion and feels so satisfied with other Pokémon trainers in Galar region, becoming stronger and livening up. He treats his younger brother, Hop, as if he is Hop’s father, sometimes kindly and strictly. He loves to see him grow, more than anybody.

Who Is Raihan (Kibana)?

He is a character who appears in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

He is one of the Gym Leaders in Galar region. He is also the self-proclaimed rival of Champion Leon, and despite having a losing streak of 0 to 10 against him, he is the only person who has come close to beating him, having managed to knock out more of Leon’s Pokémon than anyone else.

He is usually calm and treats everybody like he is a dependable big brother; however, he becomes aggressive when it comes to fighting. He loves to post his pictures on social media and often takes selfies. He is rated very highly and everybody thinks he can be the Champion if he goes to other regions but the only thing he is interested in is beating Leon, whom he has never beaten before.

As soon as you start playing the game, Pokémon Sword and Shield, you will see the exhibition match battle of these two! These rivals are that famous in Galar region and also popular too!

In the story, they are the good rivals. Especially, Raiban is conscious towards Leon, who has kept beating Raiban for the past ten years! They both like a fair game. We often see them being together in anime too! They actually get along well like that! In the latest version, DLC, we found out that they will be fighting together, even though they haven’t done it before! So! This combination will be even more popular!

Emmet x Ingo

The relationship of the two: The twin Pokémon trainers

Emmet & Ingo are the twin Pokémon trainers, who appear in Pokémon Black & White (and its sequel)!

They manage the subway that runs in Unova region! In Unova region, subway is used not only for the traffic transportation but also for the facility to entertain the Pokémon battle! In short, these twins are the managers of the battle facility and the skilled Pokémon trainers!

This battle facility itself has a speedrun element after completing the game, so some players might not even know them. However, those who do the speedrun know that they’re the strong fighters, with a good relationship, unique to the twins. We easily get attached to them especially when we get to see them too. They’re super popular among Pokémon fans!

We do have some info about them, however, since they don’t talk much, it’s all up to your interpretation as to what kind of characters they are! That’s why their Doujinshi are made, with the fans wanting to see them more!

He tends to be in the position of the rival, who appears in Pokémon Black & White (and its sequel). He is usually calm with atmosphere as if he is philosophical about life. Because N is very smart, most people can never understand N’s thought that is usually way ahead. He calls Pokémon his “friend.” He has a unique way of thinking, where “He has to release Pokémon from people.”

He is in such an important position in Pokémon Black & White. As the story goes on, his true color will gradually be revealed, getting closer to N.

Who Is Hilbert?

Hilbert is a play chara of the main protagonist of Pokémon Black & White! If you choose a boy chara, you will be controling Hilbert! He appears in “Pokémon Master EX,” currently being released too!

Pokémon Black & White’s story is more serious and dramatic than other Pokémon series. What is Pokémon in the first place? What should the relationship with Pokémon be like? The relationship of N, who is in such an important position, and a play chara, Hilbert, is so impressive.

It depends on the options but you can communicate with him and get to know his personality and past…… even how he’s thinking about the future too.

It’s rare in Pokémon Black & White series but the official sequel, Pokémon Black & White 2 released! Yes, they made it because N and the scenario have been loved by so many fans! I can’t wait to try the remake version too! I want to see N again~~!

As for Pokémon series, more new series are still coming up and it’s been loved by so many people throughout the world too! You will see more popular characters which I couldn’t pick out today in Doujinshi as well, so check them out too!
