Tales of the Abyss

Tales of the Abyss is a game that is very popular within the Tales series.
I was particularly moved by the high quality of the theme song and story when I played!

The setting is a planet called Auldrant, and the main character is Luke , the only son of the royal family of the country Kimlasca-Lanvaldear on that planet.

Luke was kidnapped in his childhood by people of Malkuth, a country that was hostile towards Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. Luke was rescued, but with that as the reason, afterwards, he was forced to live in confinement.
As he was raised pampered, he had an extremely selfish personality, and his only pleasure came from his sword practice with his master, Van.
One day, Luke meets Tear , who trespassed on the estate to try to kill Van, and from there, Luke's adventure begins.
While on his journey, companions with great individuality like Luke's childhood friend Guy and Malkuth's Colonel Jade join in, and when the story advances again, Luke finds out his own secret, decides to change at the opportunity of a certain incident, and fights together with his companions in order to save the world from a crisis.

The highlight of this work is seeing how Luke, who was selfish, grows throughout the game. At first you might feel irritated looking at him, but Luke finds out the secret hidden within himself during a certain incident and decides to change his own behaviour, which I think makes you want to watch over his stance of deciding to change himself.

As well, it is interesting how the companions who do not get along at all at first gradually get along better.

There are many fans in Japan who fell in love with Tales with this work! So people who have not played this yet, please, by all means, try playing it!
