Fast shipping, are quick to let you know when items have been restocked, great selection and I love that it's a no nonsense website. I had no trouble shopping on there and I got to buy my mangas with no complications.

Always a great experience buying from Otaku Republic! The variety of doujinshi is great!

I initially spent several hours trying to order the items I wanted directly from Japan. After maybe 5 hours of failing, mostly due to payment issues, I tried a reseller.
My first though, wow this is 5x the price!!!
But, the service was amazing. I was sent emails confirming if I recieved my order. My package was lovingly and safely packaged, and most of all I received a special gift.
I spent around 100 USD on doujin featuring one character, and I found my package had a small item relating to the character. Probably a $1 item, but the thought!! How was it noticed that my order featured that character and how did someone slip in the gift??? The human touch was incredible. It goes withour saying I am a diehard for you all now and will definitely be making future purchases.

Generally too expensive especially when buying multiples, but the service is fast and the packing is good. It might be better to offer registered SP in addition to untracked mail.

Great services

I was surprised by how quick the shipping and handling was. Yes, 3 weeks seems like a long time, but that's very quick for an item coming from Japan! I was also impressed by the follow up from Otaku. They wanted to make sure my item arrived and was in good shape from its long journey. The packaging was great! The doujinshi was intact; not a single bend or crease!

The packaging protection was really thorough and the extra cover for my first purchase was a nice touch! I also like the tagging system in that you can click the artist's or circle's name and easily see what else they havez it's very helpful.
