And so! At the recently held Jump Festa 2024, it was announced that Chainsaw Man's next Episode will be adapted into a film! The film will be a direct sequel to the anime, covering the Reze arc!

Reze, a significant character who appeared briefly in the anime's final episode! What do her questions and the featured café signify......?

Aha! So the Reze arc is finally here! When I watched the final episode of the anime, I saw Reze for a moment after the ending and thought, 'Ah! They must be planning a sequel!' I never imagined it would be a theatrical release.

Well, the Reze arc isn't too short nor too long, so it seemed just right for a movie when I heard it. As an Episode, it's not too deeply intertwined with other Episodes (you can somewhat understand the plot even if you haven't seen the anime), so it should be enjoyable as a movie!

However, it's recommended to check out the previous anime episodes if possible! If you want to get ahead with the manga, read volumes 5 and 6!

However, it's best to catch up with the anime or manga version of the story before seeing the Reze arc in the theater, if possible. There aren't that many episodes that have been animated, so it's easy to catch up.

If I want to check out the Reze arc in the manga first, from which volume should I start reading?

If you're looking to get ahead, I'd say volumes 5 and 6 of the manga. The Reze arc is a short Episode spanning two volumes, but it has a significant impact on the protagonist, Denji-Kun, so it's definitely worth checking out. I'm guessing it will probably be next year...... or maybe early the year after next, but everyone should definitely check out Chainsaw Man up to this point!
