I already watched the first two episodes, and the visual was very beautiful.

Here’s a 3-minute Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku plotline summary!

Gabimaru was feared as an immortal Ninja.
He gets sentenced to death, but can be pardoned of all crimes if he can meet one condition, and......?

I’ll keep the details brief because we covered that a year ago in an article.

The main character, Gabimaru, used to be known as the strongest ninja, and is on ‘death row’. He meets a woman and decides to change his ways, but at the same time, he is betrayed by a peer and is captured. He is waiting for death on a death-row but......

No matter what death-punishment they tried, Gabimaru stayed alive. It’s partially because of his strong body, but it’s his very strong ‘will’ to return to his woman that prevented Gabimaru from dying.

One day, Sagiri who showed up as an executioner offers him a deal. The current shogun that manages Japan is seeking for a ‘elixir of immortality’ in an island referred to as the ‘paradise.’ If a person (criminal) can bring it back, all of their crime will be pardoned.

Wanting to see his love one more time, Gabimaru accepts that offer...... but......

The story of criminals’ ‘death game’ in a terrifying island!

How was it, what did you think of the first episode?

To be honest, the first two episodes are introductions, and he goes to the ‘paradise’ island starting 3rd episode. But so far, the story has been easy to follow, pretty interesting, and the action scenes are fantastic.

Oh~! So the first and second episodes are intro?

Yes, the first episode describes Gabimaru, and the second episode explains the rule for the ‘elixir for immortality’ search along with the 10 members taking part in that. The rule is pretty simple and,

• Pardon is for one criminal only who brings back the ‘elixir of immortality.’
• Criminals will a watcher to accompany for surveillance
• If the accompanying watcher dies (accident or by intent), criminal cannot get on the returning boat.

Because the participating 10 criminals have committed crime worthy of being put on death-rows, the 9 who don’t bring back the elixir is definitely going to die.

I see, so only one gets their crime pardoned and from death...... that really is a death game. But does ‘elixir of immortality’ really exist?

They don’t know. But this shogun who came up with this ‘elixir of immortality’ search is convinced that it ‘exists.’

But peoples’ (even though they’re on death-row) lives depend on it...... well, but if this island is called ‘paradise,’ I bet it’s easy to find it soon.

By the way this person died soon after. Similarly, few people went there to investigate but they either didn’t come back, or even if they did, they always die within few days for some reason or another...... Otherwise, ‘they no longer become human,’ apparently.

And like that, the real part (arriving at the island) of Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku starts from the 3rd episode, but the Jigokuraku-specific beautiful manga illustration is neatly animated so it’s extremely good. Jigokuraku has really nice manga details, and some people were worried whether this beautiful illustration can be animated without lessening the quality, but there’s nothing to worry about for now. The tempo is good too, and this is a great anime-conversion!

And so! If you are looking for new piece among the spring anime! I will recommend Boss’s rarely highly recommended, Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku!

The manga version that it’s based on has already concluded, so the anime might also do all the way to the conclusion! The story is easy to understand, and the first and second episode can be checked out quickly at good pace, so sit back and check them out~!
