And so today, we will pick up the 2 scenes that left the biggest impressions among various scenes from Attack on Titan, which has its its final season airing soon!

Attack on Titan is a work with a long history～. Its manga started in 2009 and ended in 2021. Its anime version will soon run the portion leading up of the final episode.

What scenes will be picked! Let’s go ahead and start with the scenes I chose!

What’s “leaving an impression”?

●Anime Episode 22 Scene of leaving behind squad members’ corpses to escape Titans

Argh～～～～～～...... So hard......

To explain simply, Levi tries to return home, then gets attacked by large-sized Titans. To prevent the Titans from catching up, Levi...... demands to ‘dispose’ of his squad members’ bodies that lost their lives in the battle.

Yeah this～～......, wasn’t Petra’s one of the corpses......?

Yes it was.

Ugh～～～～～～...... It’s too hard ...... Among all of Levi’s squad members, she was so kind and understanding so this is too hard...... It was hard when she died but it’s also hard that they had to decide to leave her body here too......

This is the scene that’s left an impression on me, but it seems like you have more of an opinion on it......

This 22nd episode has more additional scenes than the manga version. In particular, there are episodes on Levi’s squad member’s families...... And they hope to at least bring the bodies back to their families at home, but even that couldn’t be allowed. I remember getting that but feeling really sad.

●Anime Episode 36 Bertolt’s Scream

My chosen scene that left most impression is also from earlier on. The story started to make significant developments from around Episode 35, but I especially remember when Bertolt screamed in Episode 36.

Ugh～......This was hard...... Looking back at it now, the impression of this scene is now different.

Yes. This is a scene where Mikasa catches up to Bertolt who kidnapped Eren, then criticizes him for his betrayal but...... this Bertolt’s scream really left an impression on me.

Yes. It’s from around this scene that I started to think “Maybe Attack on Titan isn’t a simple work about humans vs. Titans.” Bertolt and Reiner are definitely Titans, and had betrayed Eren’s group, but considers them as real friends...... When I saw Bertolt scream with tears, I started to question whether there is a whole another side to it that’s not illustrated yet.

Mikasa’s facial expression from this episode was so scary in the anime, I remembered it for some time after watching.

Looks like she’s peaking from the bathroom door’s gap in a pitch-black midnight.

Mikasa wouldn’t do such rude thing.

What about to Eren?

Maybe to Eren. Mikasa worries a lot.

Not necessarily. I have several scenes I love in the latter half too, but it hasn’t been visualized yet because it’s around the final episode. I can’t say much because I don’t want to spoil the plot, but around the final episode, and the climax of this 10-year-long series was really dramatic (in fact, it’s all dramatic scenes) so everyone, don’t miss the final season from 3/3!

More so than having an impression, it’s a scene I like because it’s cute. To be honest, Attack on Titan doesn’t really have cute scenes or (comical) funny scenes, and it’s more about deep emotions that comes from being moved from serious and interesting (shocking) scenes multiple times.

That’s my impression of the work especially looking back.
