To jump to the conclusion, Tokyo Revengers’s new season (Season 2), first episode (episode 25) did not contain any review of the first season!

Right. There was no special adjustment for the anime, and they went ahead and animated the immediate episode that follows the last episode from the first season (basically manga Vol. 9 content).

And so! For the people who haven’t seen Tokyo Revengers yet, and people like me, who kind of forgot the first season, we will do a recap of the anime’s season 1’s storyline!

Yes, kind of rough but true. What about the cause for getting this time leap ability?

A train...... he...... he almost got ran over by a train!!!

You answer it as if it’s a game show...... Present day Takemitsu hears on the news that Hina, his ex, got involved in some trouble with a criminal gang called Tokyo Manji Gang. Then, at a train station, someone pushes Takemichi into the train rail with an oncoming train from behind. When he wakes up, it turns out, Takemichi had returned to his middle school days!

By the way, why did Takemichi end up joining Tokyo Manji Gang upon time-traveling to his youth?

The gist of it is, the organization Tokyo Manji Gang existed back in Takemichi’s middle school period too. But back then, it wasn’t a criminal gang, it was just a group of people who shared the leader Sano Manjiro (Mikey)’s ideal for ‘starting a new period for cool bad guys.’

Never directing violence toward women, the weak, and the unrelated people, it used to be an organization that fights against other malicious gang groups...... but...... in the present-future, it had ‘changed’ into a criminal gang group.

So Takemichi thought that solving the key to this mystery might save Hina from her eventual destiny of death!

mmhm. So in the anime’s first season, Takemichi time leaps multiple times. Finally in the 6th time leap, in the final episode of the season 1 (anime’s 24th episode), he finds the one individual who practically ‘deliberately creates Hina’s death destiny’.

That’s right!!! That person is......!

Wait! There are people who haven’t seen the 1st season yet, so keep it a secret. Anyhow, season 2’s first episode (episode 25) starts off by revealing the one individual responsible for it all. So, if you haven’t seen Tokyo Revengers yet, don’t start from season 2 first episode for sure.

And, the rest of you who have been waiting for this sequel after the 1st season ended, congratulations! Season 2 episode 1 clearly shows what we wanted to see & find out, the ‘sequel’!!!!!!

Entering the 7th time leap in the anime version too! Would Takemichi be able to put a stop to a future that’s heading toward the worst case scenario......!?

I sort of remember now, so I’ll start from season 2 first episode!

I think you should re-watch from first season last episode (episode 24) to recall various other things (no offense intended). And so, we recommend this anime, of course for those of you waiting for it, but also people who want to start watching Tokyo Revengers from now! The manga version concluded in 2022, so when you’re done watching the anime version, try reading the manga version too!
