Yep, it’s so famous! So, today! We’ll be featuring one of the games called Ib, which has been commemorating its 10th Anniversary this year! For those who love horror games or not, you all will love it! Check it out!

What Is Ib?

Ib is a freeware video game published and developed by kouri-Sensei.
The genre is horror×adventure. After release in 2012, various additional elements such as the different types of ending or new art stuff were shown in 2013.
The foreign language versions have voluntarily been released as well, so even those overseas are now able to play it. The concept of this game is “a game that even non-gamers can enjoy.”
I often hear that Ib is so fun but it’s a horror game, right? I tend to become unable to sleep if I play horror games......
Yeah, Ib is a horror movie for sure but it’s a sophisticated game well-designed even for those who are not good at it!

While it’s a horror game, the best part is its Mysterious Worldview!

The genre of Ib is horror×adventure but it doesn’t have much element of the ‘horror’ (such as violent and grotesque descriptions). It’s a game where you make the goal of escaping the mysterious gallery full of various displays!
Not scary?
I would say there are much elements where they surprise you but they do not scare you! (It’s unexpectedly ‘not-grotesque’)
But! You’ll still be satisfied with the game because of the mysterious worldview where you can play while feeling excited and thrilled!

Not just the Worldview but Focus on the Storyline and the Characters too!

I’ve heard that the story of Ib is set in the gallery but what kind of storyline is it?
It’s a game where a girl (the main protagonist), named Ib with mysterious power, gets lost in the gallery and make the goal of escaping the gallery!

A girl who plays the main protagonist in this story.
She came to the exhibition of an artist named Guertena Weiss, with her parents. However, she got locked in, ending up trying to make the goal of escaping the gallery. She is holding a red rose which she found on the way.

Garry

He is a man who Ib meets in the gallery while being locked in.
He is able to understand difficult sentences and lift heavy stuff. He is holding a blue rose which he found on the way.

Mary

She is a girl who Ib meets in the gallery while being locked in.
She is cheerful and innocent, exploring the gallery without being scared of anything. She is holding a yellow rose which she found on the way.
So...... these three were all locked in, huh? Then it’s not that scary, no?
Although Ib is not a talkative character, she will not feel lonely thanks to Garry and Mary! The reason why Ib has been loved by many people is not because of its worldview but also because these characters are so attractive!
