Hello everyone! Happy 20th Anniversary! Guess what? I was influenced by Prince Of Tennis at my junior high school days and joined the Tennis club. It’s Saori from Otaku Republic!

Aaand, hello everyone. I’m Otaku Republic’s Boss. As for Prince Of Tennis, it has been serialized since 1999 and it had the 20th Anniversary in 2019. It’s awesome!

So! The Prince of Tennis is getting a new anime, a dream-match, in celebration of the 20th anniversary! The author, Konomi Takeshi-Sensei, himself will be supervising this new anime’s production! Another legend will be born on Feb 13th……!!

Prince Of Tennis is a tennis manga series, serialized in Shonen Jump, where various characters with flashy special techniques appear. It’s been serialized for over 20 years and it has become one of the most typical and popular Jump manga series too.

So today! We’ll be talking about why Rikkai VS Hyotei-match is popular with its new original anime series, releasing!

Hyoutei Academy Secondary Department is a ‘rival school’ of Seishun Gakuen, where the main character, Echizen Ryoma, goes to, huh?

Yep. They appear in the beginning of the story and show us how overwhelmingly strong they are in tennis. As for Hyoutei Academy Secondary Department, we all have the image of the ‘prestigious’ school, where only wealthy or excellent students can go.

While Hyoutei Academy Secondary Department is the rival school, which appears in the beginning of the story, Rikkai University of Junior High School is kind of like the ‘rasubosu’ (last boss), fighting in the climax of the story, huh?

Right. When Prince Of Tennis came to an end in Shonen Jump, the last team they competed against was Rikkai University of Junior High School.

Yep. That’s why for all the fans, these two high schools are the strongest rivals each other and have such attractive players!

Rikkai VS Hyotei have NEVER competed in the original!

Yep! Actually, these two strong teams haven’t competed against each other in the original!

That’s amazing……! But this time, it will be depicted in this original anime series with 1st and 2nd chapters, huh? It must be such a precious time for ‘Hyoutei Academy Secondary Department’ and ‘Rikkai University of Junior High School’- lovers!

Right! In the trailer shown in public, Atobe Keigo-Sama and Yukimura Seiichi-San were devising a strategy for winning, encouraging with each other…… I’ve heard that their everyday life before the match will also be depicted in the 1st chapter! Can’t wait, huh?

Completely Supervised by the Author!
It will be the Original Anime, containing the “Conclusion” that the Author has made!

Yep. The match that hasn’t been depicted in the original will be depicted, which means…… we’ll know which team is stronger after all!

Mmm…… I bet many people will feel complicated, wanting to watch but not wanting to watch…… However, since the author of the original, Konomi Takeshi-Sensei will completely be supervising, attractions of each character will perfectly be depicted and…… above all, we want to know which is stronger and how strong they are.

And among all the fans, they are already guessing ‘who’s gonna be competing against next’!

Right! That’s important too! A record will be changed depending on which character competes against.

I guess a huge match ‘Atobe Keigo-Sama VS Yukimura Seiichi-San’ will be depicted in the 2nd chapter so maybe three matches out of 5 might be shown in the 1st chapter. I mean I’m just guessing though. But yeah! What’s gonna happen to them!? Why don’t you check it out too?
