What? Part2? I didn’t even expect that I’ll do this again! It’s Saori from Otaku Republic!

So today, commemorating Kimetsu no Yaiba’s coming to an end, we’ll do a Part2 of its Coupling Column! This time, though, I picked out the combination of the boys and the girls! If you want to see the Coupling Column of the boys version, check out the Part 1!

Kamado Tanjirou x Tsuyuri Kanao【TanKana】

The relationship of the two: I cherish him, who teaches me how to have the purity of the heart

These two first met when Tanjirou challenged the entrance exam of The Demon Slayer Corps. Even though both were taking the same exam, they hardly talked during the exam. They recognized with each other way afterwards.

Tanjirou, who got badly injured during the duty of Natagumo Yama, had Kochou Shinobu under his charge and started doing another training while doing a rehab from the injury. The one, who helped him do the training and the rehab that time, was Tsuyuri Kanao. Even though Tanjirou thought that “she was much smaller than him and a weak girl”, actually, she had an overwhelmingly high physical strength, compared to Tanjirou.

But Kanao’s “heart was poor.”

Due to the incident which happened to her before, she never got interested in anything except for what she was told to do. And if she didn’t know if she had to do things, she always had the coin-toss decide whether she should or not do. When Tanjirou was about to leave there after he finished the rehab, Kanao did a coin toss. It was Head, so Kanao said “Good-bye” to him.

Tanjirou, watching all those, said to Kanao, “There’s nothing that is not matter to you in your life. So you should decide what you want to do with your heart from now on.” Tanjirou grabbed the coin from her and tossed it.

“If it’s Head, then you should live, following your heart, from now on!”

Kanao, before she noticed, was staring at the result, being excited.

It was Head.

Because Kanao couldn’t see his hand well with the wind blowing, she doubted him that he had cheated. Then Tanjirou said to Kanao,

“It’s just the coincident. You know what? I was going to keep tossing the coin until I get Head.”

This scene was in the final episode and it’s quite a popular scene, huh? Tanjirou, being super honest, and Kanao, being moved by the purity of his heart…… They both are so pure and adorable, huh……? In the original, you can see how these two met again too!

Agatsuma Zenitsu x Kamado Nezuko【ZenNezu】

The relationship of the two: A human who falls in love too easily but is single-minded, and a demon who is just like a human

It was a little more complicated when they first met, compared to other characters.

Kamado Nezuko, who turned into a demon (from a human), couldn’t stay under the sunshine so would spend time in the box, which Tanjiro carried.

Zenitsu, who had to take care of the box, found out immediately that there was a demon inside because of the “sound.” However, the “sound” was the sweetest one among all the humans who he had met before and believed that there should be a reason why Tanjirou said it was an important thing for him.

“I…… I’m gonna talk to him! So…… let me take care of this thing……!!”

Zenitsu said that to Inosuke, who was going to take the one inside out of the box, not knowing anything. And Zenitsu continued to protect the box, never even attacking him until Tanjirou came back.

And he had a crush on Nezuko, who got out from the box, while Tanjirou was explaining everything to him. Zenitsu, then, got upset, and tried to enforce Tanjirou because Zenitsu didn’t like the fact that Tanjirou was secretly traveling with such a cute girl.

Later on, figuring out that Nezuko was Tanjirou’s little sister, Zenitsu suddenly became so kind to Tanjirou. Zenitsu likes girls so much that he tries to get closer to Nezuko several times.

In Natagumo Yama Version, there is a scene, where Zenitsu chased Tanjirou and Nezuko, saying “Wait up, my loving Nezuko-Chan!”, when Tanjirou and Nezuko were heading for a dangerous mountain, which became a den of demons ! In Anime version, we cannot see this scene but in the original, we can see more interactions between Zenitsu and Nezuko! If you are interested in, check out the original (comics)!!

Tomioka Giyuu x Kochou Shinobu【GiyuShino】

The relationship of the two: “Serious but a little off” VS “A little mean but kind”

These two are the executives of The Demon Slayer Corps, called Hashira. Both had high fighting skills.

Tomioka Giyuu was a quiet person but faithful to his missions, while Kochou Shinobu was a genius swordsman, supporting others and fighting as a member of the medical team at the same time.

And both of them were actually so kind than anybody that they always cared for their subordinates. Even in the important conference, where they should refrain from speaking or acting positively, they cared for Tanjirou and Nezuko (Especially because both knew them beforehand).

Shinobu was a little worried about Giyuu because everybody might dislike Giyuu since he was too serious ~on top of that, a quiet person. But Shinobu was shocked at the fact that Giyuu was actually trying to communicate with others positively. (By the way, other Hashira were trying to keep a distance from Giyuu. Shinobu-San was one of them too.)

I really can’t think of the perfect episode, where they get along but I bet many people love this coupling: Giyuu-San, who is serious but clumsy, and Shinobu-San, who is worried about such Giyuu-san but also likes to tease Giyuu-San!! I like them both so much too, caring for their subordinates but having the opposite personalities…… this is a cute coupling!!

Iguro Obanai x Kanroji Mitsuri【ObaMitsu】

The relationship of the two: Both loners. That’s why they understand each other.

Iguro Obanai and Kanroji Mitsuri are the executives of The Demon Slayer Corps, called Hashira, too. Their personalities are exactly the opposite, so people would assume they don’t get along. Iguro Obanai is sarcastic but calm and grumpy, while Kanroji Mitsuri is cheerful, energetic and a little off but never refuses people as much as possible. In fact, grumpy Iguro and cheerful Kanroji really get along.

Even though not every episode of Anime has aired yet, so many episodes where they get along have been shown in the original. Sometimes they went out to eat. One time, Kanroji was worried because the skirt (uniform) was a little short, then Iguro gave her a stockings (it could be socks?) as a present…… Yes, they really get along with each other.

Of course, Iguro is not kind to everybody. I mean Iguro is kind only to Kanroji. Iguro and Kanroji write to each other, sharing what’s going on. One time, Iguro got a letter from Kanroji, saying “Tanjirou-Kun seems to be working hard recently.” Well, Iguro reeeeeeeally didn’t like that much and started train Tanjirou more strictly in an explicit manner.

“I will not spoil you, like Kanroji, alright?”

Well, I bet you know now but Iguro-San loves Kanroji-San so much. Even though Kanroji-San sometimes has a crush on someone else, she says she likes to eat or write a letter with Iguro-San so much too! Unlike the combination of Giyuu-San and Shinobu-San, theirs is so cute! They are also super popular too! It’s always heartwarming to see Iguro-San who explicitly shows his kind attitude towards Kanroji-San…… It always makes me smile! We can tell that he loves Kanroji-San so much!
