Hello everyone! It’s Saori from Otaku Republic! Guess what? On Feb 15th, the movie of a BL comic, which has sold 150 in total in Japan, released! It’s THIS!!!

The subject of this movie is, yeah!, Yakuza (Gokudo, Ninkyou)!! It’s are literally the ‘antisocial’ occupation or the position. The relationship between each Chara, and the mixed relationship between love and loyalty are like ‘underground’ attraction, which we can never see in the typical stories.

What kind of story is Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai?

The main character, Yashiro, is the young leader and the president of a company. He is good at making money and never shows his true color to anybody. One day, Doumeki Riki was hired as Yashiro’s assistant and bodyguard. Yashiro, who usually never flirts with his subordinate, can’t keep his eye off of Doumeki. Doumeki respects Yashiro from the bottom of his heart but he cannot accept him due to one reason. Yashiro has decided not to flirt with his subordinates, and Doumeki follows him, knowing that. This is a story about these two people, who have decided to live in the ‘underground’ world!

Even though the subject itself of Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai is Yakuza (Gokudo, Ninkyou) but the theme itself is very simple. Is this called ‘love’ or sympathy? Yashiro might just cherish his subordinate, Doumeki, who is always loyal to Yashiro. Or Yashiro might be thinking about someone else who wouldn’t look back on him. Doumeki feels a strong appreciation towards Yashiro and wants to be with him but is this emotion called ‘love’? If he accepts Yashiro, is it a ‘right’ thing to do?

Their relationship is not normal maybe because they both have bitter experiences in the past or because they are in the position of Yakuza (Gokudo Ninkyou). Plus, they are no longer boys or students but the boss and the subordinate in Yakuza, which might be making their relationship even harder…!

I’ve read the vol. 1 of Manga but there are more important Chara other than these two as well! Especially in Episode 0, Yashiro and Doumeki never appeared so I started worrying if I was actually reading the vol.1. Oh, I thought that they were the Chara who usually explain about the worldview of the story in Episode 0…. But they were actually the key Chara! Also, Kageyama and Kuga will be another key Chara, who appeared in the beginning of the story!
