Here comes ‘a special on RPG’, which Saori chose on the basis of personal preference and desire!

 

Hello guys!  I’m Saori, one of the members OtakuRepublic! ∩(ﾟ∀ﾟ∩)

 

 

Though I had a special article on the ‘PC and mobile game’ the last time, I thought that wasn’t enough... (ヽ´ω`)

 

Actually, there are more games that like.. I mean.. too many to share all of them with you... (ヽ´ω`)

 

I see my favorite titles of the game in the ranking on OtakuRepublic... (ヽ´ω`)

 

I always feel so happy seeing that you guys like them too... (ヽ´ω`)

 

I really want more people to know these games and I also want the games to be more popular... (ヽ´ω`)

 

 

So!  I’ll introduce you to more of them this time too (ﾉω｀*)σ)Д`*)))！

☆Final Fantasy Series

 

 

If I asked Japanese people, “What are the most popular RPG titles?  Pick three!”, they would definitely pick this series (σ・∀・)σ！

 

 

It’s a shame to say that I’ve only played ‘FINAL FANTASY X’ among all authentic Final Fantasy Series, to tell you the truth... (/ω・＼)

 

 

I’ve told my colleagues at work about this the other day, and they said, “What?  Why haven’t you?  We can’t believe you haven’t...  This is so exciting!  You have to play it!!!” Σ(`･Д･ﾉ)ﾉ！

 

 

Each title had its own fighting system depending on the creative view of the world and the magnificent story.

 

I felt as if I were in a very long movie when I played ‘FINAL FANTASY X’ .

 

All the main characters and I are going to have a lot of wonderful memories exploring the world, enjoying beautiful scenery and meeting lots of people at the end. (σ・∀・)σ！

 

 

I was thinking that it’s hard to enjoy playing all these titles(。-`ω-)…！

because each title has their own view of the world and setting.  But!

 

 

There are more people who have been trying other titles than before because they can explore other characters in each title.  For example, we have a game where the main character (Dissidia Final Fantasy) of Final Fantasy Series and his rivals appear, and there’s the RPG collaborated with Disney called ‘KINGDOM HEARTS’ released by SQUARE ENIX, where the main characters from each title appear!

 

 

These games have affected people who enjoy both the latest game and the old one: which, by the way, have made the main character - Lightning - of the latest game FINAL FANTASY XIII, and the main character - Cloud Strife – of the older title FINAL FANTASY VII so popular in OtakuRepublic. (・∀・)！

 

 

 

My favorite character in this series is ‘Yuna’ who is a heroine of FINAL FANTASY X!

 

I like her because this is the first game I’ve ever played and she is heroic in it too... (´,,･ω･,,`)

 

I was so shocked at the ending of FINAL FANTASY X that I started crying when I was folding my laundry.  I was so glad to see she becomes to fantastically happy in FINAL FANTASY X-2 which is a sequel of FINAL FANTASY X.

 

She’s my favorite in the Dissidia Final Fantasy too:*･*ﾟ.:｡+ﾟ+(((ノ´Дヾ))！

 

 

 

 

 

☆Persona Series

 

 

 

 

This is a professional RPG where they fight with monsters such as ‘devil’ or ‘shadow’ in modern Japan.

 

The titles 1 through 4 have been released so far and 5 will be on the way - aiming for its release in the winter of 2014!

 

 

 

This game is separated into two views of the world!

 

In Persona and Persona2, it’s characterized by a dark and serious story with a theme ‘Human’s psychology’.

 

With the same theme, Persona3 and Persona4 are based on the school life and the relationships among friends with success and bright direction.

 

I played Persona3・Persona4 and I liked them a lot because the stories were impressive. (*´д｀*)

 

These two games have entirely different ways of getting to the end.  Honestly, I just still cannot accept how Persona3 ends.  But, since I like the game itself, I keep playing it...

 

I still believe that ‘he’ is gonna be able to have a different ending than the one in the game in the sequel someday...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

           

Persona4 is just a ‘standard’ game, which is rare in recent years!

 

It has an enjoyable school lifeヽ(*´Д｀*)ﾉ！making great memories with buddiesヽ(*´Д｀*)ﾉ！and even keeps secrets from adults and they also save the world ヽ(*´Д｀*)ﾉ！

 

Plus, the boys can have a crush on girls and deepen their relationships with the other boys(ﾉω｀*)…

 

Yes, this is the game full of fighting, youth and enjoyable school life searching for ‘the truth of the incidents’ reasoning correctly in separated ways!

 

 

I also recommend that you should listen to the sound track music even if you don’t play the game because the music is so wonderful on both titles(@'ω'@)！

 

 

 

 

 

☆Tales Series

 

 

 

If I asked Japanese people, “Pick three of the most popular RPG titles in Japan.”, they would definitely pick this, PART 2!

That’s just what I think though... but this is one of my favorite RPG’s(☆´∀｀)人(´∀｀★)！

 

 

 

Like Final Fantasy Series, each title has its own view of the world and setting, and the common definition is the same.

 

For instance, the Final Fantasy Series are characterized with the dramatic beautiful pictures and the real three-dimensional character designs, on the other hand, Tales Series have the animation-like expressions and deformed characters(*´ω｀)o！

 

 

 

And it’s peculiar that the popularity of specific titles is not too one-sided!  In fact, we found out that each title sells in a good balance in OtakuRepublic too, for instance, Tales of the Abyss、Tales of Vesperia、Tales of Xillia、Tales of Graces、Tales of Symphonia..

 

And, even now, the items of each title have been increased by the passion of the loving fans!

 

 

 

I’ve played Tales of the Abyss、Tales of Vesperia、Tales of Xillia、Tales of Graces、Tales of Symphonia、TOW Radiant Mythology、TOS Knight of Ratatosk、Tales of VS. so far (σ・∀・)σ

 

 

My favorite title among them is absolutely TOS Knight of Ratatosk...!

 

The reasons I liked this were that it’s a sequel of my favorite Tales of Symphonia and that its system was like traveling together and bringing up the devils just like Pokemon!

 

I was so sorry that I couldn’t name my optional name(´ﾍ｀；).. but still, I would take good care of a rabbit monster or wolf monster.. (人´ω｀)❤

Although I like the main character Emil Castagnier so much, my friend tells me ‘it’s too minor…!!(●ω●;)

 

It’s not minor, is it?  I’m sure I like Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Xillia a lot but TOS Knight of Ratatosk is not minor either, right..?

 

 

 

 

 

 

☆Pokemon

 

 

 

 

The first RPG game I’ve played was the exactly Pokemon(*゜∀゜)=3!!！

 

 

We leave the town with the monster we choose and try to solve various kinds of incidents with the aim of becoming Pokemon Master...

 

It’s so easy to write like this, but it’s actually so deep when we play, isn’t it?

 

The level of the game or the kind of memory of the trip differ depending on which Pokemon you experience the hardship, even though the purposes such as defeating gym leaders or solving incidents are already decided!

 

 

 

There are more than 700 kinds of monsters!  When I was first playing it, there were only 151…(;´Д｀)

 

I am still playing it thoughヾ( ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉﾞ… My favorite Pokemon is ‘Gengar’!

 

I really like to see his fluffy belly(〃ﾉω)σ and implish-like smiling face (´,,･ω･,,`)

 

In the latest game, he became stronger, so I still love him!

 

Since I can make him my buddy from the beginning of the story in all titles, I can be with him all the time from the beginning to the end(*'Д`从`∀'*)！！

 

 

 

I like N (Pokémon), Ingo and Emmet of Subway Master among the human characters!  Especially, N is my favorite rival since Pokemon started.(ﾉω｀*)

 

I was so happy that I could see him again at Pokémon Black2 and White2..!!

 

Of course I like how he looks but I even like him more after I knew how and where he lived...

 

Hmmm... it looks like I’m always so interested in the characters who I want to be happy…(。-`ω-)！

 

 

 

Well, at last, speaking of Pokemon, here’s a word!

This expresses the exact essence of the Pokemon game!

 

 

Strong Pokémon.

 

Weak Pokémon.

 

That is only the selfish perception of people.

 

Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best.

In spite that we don’t have many items, there are so many customers who buy Illustration books or guidebooks for getting around on this site!

 

I’d like to introduce more games if I have a chance!

 

 

How was RPG special this time?

 

Attractive points of RPG is that you can realize a different way of thinking after you:ve played the game, than prior to playing it.

 

I just can’t stop buying the sequel of the games I’ve been playing even though I know that I’m already grown-up..

 

They are all full of attractive points and fantastic genre tooヾ(≧∇≦*)〃ヾ(*≧∇≦)

 

 

Well, for the next renewing, we’ll make a special topic on the ‘Otome game’ which is for girls!
