Boss(  'ω') “Wow. We have some guests today too... What are we gonna feature today?”

Saori(゜∇ ゜) “Actually, Ryo and Nal made a “pilgrimage(聖地巡礼)” the other day.”

Boss(  'ω') “Pilgrimage... means that you visited the location of scenes in anime (,considering these places as equivalent to holy places), huh? Where did you guys visit? And which anime?”

Ryo (*˘︶˘*)&Nal( ・_・) ““We visited the area called ‘Ninomiya’ shown in THE IDOLM@STER.””

Saori(゜∇ ゜) “Yep! Since you guys actually visited that exact place which was a stage of anime, we want you all to enjoy exploring Ninomiya and we also share some of the good points to enjoy the pilgrimage even more with you all as well!”

Learn from Japanese Otaku! Here are the five points to enjoy “pilgrimage” even more!

1 Check what angle the place, which you are going to visit, was depicted in manga in advance!

Ryo (*˘˘*) “First, to prepare for the pilgrimage... let’s review the actual anime so closely!”

Boss(  'ω') “By the way, how was the place called Ninomiya depicted in the THE IDOLM@STER world?”

Nal( ・_・) “Ninomiya is the closest train station from Amami Haruka-Chan’s house, who appears in THE IDOLM@STER. So the scenes that are mostly depicted are when she goes to the office and rides on the train every morning.”

Boss(  'ω') “Wow!!! Exactly the same!! Awesome!!”

Ryo (*˘˘*) “We get impressed especially the scene that we have in our memories and the actual scenery exactly correspond. Therefore, what you need to do by the previous day is to review those scenes.”

2 Bring the screen shots of each scene with you so that you can make sure they will correspond each other in that place.

Nal( ・_・) “Here’s the second advice (point 2) from me, who actually went there and whose hobby is photography. When we are about to take some commemorative photos on the spot, we tend to forget how the shot was depicted in manga.

Ryo (*˘˘*) “If we go all the way to the exact spot, we want to take one with the exactly the same angle as the one depicted in anime, right? Of course it’s easy to check the anime scene from your computer or cellphone that you bring with but I recommend that you make it screen shot. It’s a lot easier!

Nal( ・_・) “For instance, to take a photo of the station building that is shown above, we’d better not take it from the front but from a little angled area...! That’s a great photo opportunity!!!!”

Saori( ) (I have a feeling something tragic might happen...)

3 Bring some related items with the anime with you!

Ryo (*˘˘*) “Yeah~this one~! Please bring some since I regretted not having brought any!”

Nal( ・_・) “I recommend that you should bring a little stuffed animal or a key chain. If you put it in the photo screen when you take one, we feel like as if we were traveling with the character!”

Saori(゜∇ ゜) “Awwww!! Cute!!”

Ryo (*˘˘*) “I should have...  I strongly recommend that you bring one since you can take cuter pictures.”

4 Bring some lenses with various focal length (distance) for your camera!

Nal( ・_・) “This is the second advice from me, who is a camera-lover. When you make a pilgrimage, please bring some lenses that you can take photos with various distances. Zoom lens is my recommendation.

Nal( ・_・) “When I was trying to take the exactly the same scene as the one depicted in anime, it was kind of a little too far away to take a good one. But! I brought a telephoto lens with me, so I was able to take a clear photo even with that far distance.”

Boss(  'ω') “There’s a possibility that the building that is shown in anime is a reduced version but it was actually bigger on the spot, huh?”

Nal( ・_・) “It might be the best part of the pilgrimage to enjoy those differences, though. Okay now, we’ll share the most important point with you all here.”

5 Enjoy the area’s specialties!

Ryo (*˘˘*) “This one is not compulsory though. But it’s wonderful and beneficial to both us, who can enjoy the holy place even more, and the area that is a stage in manga itself, that can be happy...

Nal( ・_・) “Here we go! It’s to eat the area’s specialties and souvenirs!”

Ryo (*˘˘*) “The spot that has become the stage of anime must have full of attractions. Hoping that the place will have such attractions forever, we should buy a little souvenir in that area, which will also become our memories as well.”

Nal( ・_・) “This is not only for Japan. Wherever you go in the whole world, you should follow the manner and make your own memory. Please do not bother people living there but make fantastic memory there at the same time. How did you like 5 points from me and Ryo?”
