Mafuyu(^q^): Hi, our friends. It’s Mafuyu from Otaku Republic!

 

On the last weekend, I went to an event called AGF (Animate Girls Festival).

 

AGF is a huge event which has what girls ‘love!’, such as we can purchase girls’ games and goods of anime works, we can try cosplay in a section, and we can eat some foods collaborated with voice actors. 

 

This is the annual event held by Animate group, for 2 days in every November.

 

As we need to obtain tickets in advance, the competition for obtaining this year’s tickets was so severe enough to let me feel like it was the hardest time ever… (The good thing is that I got the ticket!)  

 

 

This time, I would like to feature the very popular event for Otaku girls, or AGF. (*´ω｀*)

 

 

～I went to the annual festival, AGF2016! A feature of AGF! ～

 

 

The place where AGF is held is Ikebukuro, which has a well-known ‘Otome Road’!

 

 

Ikebukuro station was full of AGF, with a promotion board of AGF inside the station as well as AGF2016’s special flags along Ikebukuro Sunshine 60 Street.

 

 

Actually, these flags have newly drawn illustrations★

They are cute, aren’t they? ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

 

Now, I arrived the venue!　

 

Wherever I looked…

 

People　everywhere!

Also, most of them are female!!! This is the festival for Otaku girls!

 

 

 

Once you arrive the venue, first go through the reception, get a wristband, and wear it on the wrist.

 

 

Since this year was Animate’s 30^th anniversary, I got an AGF2016 original bag. I am so happy to get it because this bag can hold all the goods after shopping!

 

 

After entering the venue, line up and wait for the gate open in numerical order because we can only go inside in the numerical order.

 

 

Now, the gate was open!!

 

In the venue, there were many companies holding shops and it was very crowded. (＾ω＾)

 

 

The currently broadcasted anime, Yuri!!! on Ice’s goods were also sold! Don’t you think that the illustrations of the characters wearing private clothing are very interesting!?

 

 

 

In the section selling products of Yuri!!! on Ice, as one of the characters Viktor has a dog called Makkachin, Makkachin’s stickers were distributed for free, so people got crazy coming to get the stickers.

 

So many people!!

 

I also lined up and successfully obtained the sticker! Makkachin, you are so cute!

 

 

In AGF, not only for Yuri!!! on Ice, free distributions are held in several booths so better check it out.

 

Actually, I got many of them!

I was so happy to have been able to get postcards of a new game created by my favorite illustrator!

 

 

Other than these above,

 

there were not only booths where we can buy goods, but also we were able to try AGF’s special Gashapon*,

(*Gashapon is vending machine dispensed capsule toys and means the vendors themselves as well.)

 

 

and we were able to experience nail arts collaborated with Tsukiuta, so this event has covered a variety of contents.

In a park, close to Animate, there was another event called Animate Girls Food Festival, where we can eat special foods collaborated with voice actors.

 

We can enjoy foods that we cannot eat somewhere else of course, but also we can get bromides as buyers’ complementary gifts, so if you are a fan of voice actors, you must check this out!

 

 

 

Also, there is another event that, if you get a ticket at the AGF venue and show the ticket at a blood-donor room close to the venue for donating your blood, an original colorful paper will be given. 

 

This year’s paper was collaborated with Hakuouki. (灬╹ω╹灬)

Once we enjoy all the shopping and the event… let’s go to the exchange space!!!

 

In the exchange space, as shown in the below photo, you can spread out and show trading goods in front of you that you bought, and get someone to exchange to your favorite characters’ goods. ⊂('ω'⊂ )

 

 

I also showed some goods that I purchased and got someone to trade!

 

 

It is so rare to have this kind of exchange space in the venue, so AGF is such a kind event for visitors★

 

Anyway, I really enjoyed AGF this year too. (੭ु ›ω‹ )੭ु⁾⁾♡

What I was looking for was Uta no Prince-sama as well as Yowamushi Pedal, and I am so happy to have been able to buy almost all of them that I wanted to buy!

These are my haul at AGF! I know all of them are related to Uta no Prince-sama and Yowamushi Pedal!

 

 

The animal-formed covers in the center of the above picture are newly sold dress-up covers of the super popular goods, Omanjuu Niginigi Mascot.

Also, the beanie in the below photo is not my own, but it is the special one coming with the scarf for this stuffed toy.
