Let’s gorgeously celebrate characters’ birthdays!

Mafuyu(^q^): Hi, our friends. It’s Mafuyu from Otaku Republic!

Have you ever seen a room full of anime goods like the picture below via SNS?

http://matome.naver.jp

What in the world does the owner do with all these goods in his/her room?

This is a ridiculous amount...

I mean.... there’s not even a room to sleep in!!!!

I bet some of you might be thinking like that.

Actually, this is how they celebrate anime characters (‘Seitansai’)!

There are so many Otaku in Japan, who celebrate their favorite anime characters, with some cake and a whole bunch of goods in their rooms.

We call celebrating with full of goods in the room, ‘setting up an altar (saidan)’, and this is how they celebrate their own favorite character’s birthday.

So today, I’ll share what the ‘Seitansai’ is with you guys! ★

Let’s gorgeously celebrate characters’ birthdays!

~What is ‘Saidan’ and ‘Seitansai’ ?~

1. What is Saidan?

Saidan is originally an altar which we use to worship the God or to present some offerings with.

We often see this in shrine in Japan.

Imitating such Saidan,

Some people display flowers or

goods for their favorite characters.

People usually put posters on the whole wall and display goods such as key holders, button badges and figures.

I have celebrated my favorite character’s birthday in my room before too!(灬╹ω╹灬)

Some people even have a champagne tower

or some balloons as well!

Let’s decorate your room cute!

2. What is Seitansai?

Seitansai is literally to celebrate characters’ birthdays!★

We have our own ways of celebrating their favorite characters; setting up Saidan, having some cake, cosplaying and drawing...

Some people celebrate with their buddies wearing hand-made masks too.

Anything will do as long as there’s love on their birthdays!

You know?

3. Great and unforgettable people
