Mafuyu(^q^): What’s new? Anything good? You look so happy, huh?

 

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): I just got the Blu-ray of THE IDOLM@STER SideM’s first concert♪ I like to actually go see the concert and enjoy the excitement but I also like to watch it later, relaxing at home! They are both exciting!!

 

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^): Whoa!! How much do you like SideM, though?

 

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): I like it as much as Mafuyu’s loving UtaPri!!  Maybe more than that?!

 

Mafuyu(^q^): Huh?

 

 

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): Remember? In Aoi＆Mafuyu Times08, you shared other anime that have concerts in the movie theater besides UtaPri with our friends, right? After I read the article, I thought that I wanted more people to know about my loving THE IDOLM@STER SideM too!

 

 

Mafuyu(^q^): Wow, that’s great...!

 

 

Weren’t you guys thinking that Aoi (I) was just a robot lover from what Aoi＆Mafuyu Times says? .... That was just a secret identity!!!

 

Aoi is actually a producer of idols!!!

 

 

 

☆Would there be anyone who doesn’t know anything about my loving THE IDOLM@STER SideM in the first place...? I hope not! I really do! But I’ll share some information with you guys though, just in case!!!☆

 

 

 

THE IDOLM@STER SideM just had the 2^nd Anniversary since its debut on July 17^th, 2014. Congratulation on the 2^nd Anniversary! To both producers around the world and people who don’t know about SideM, let’s enjoy it together(♡v♡)!

☆What is THE IDOLM@STER SideM?

 

It’s one of THE IDOLM@STER’s series and a social game provided via smartphone apps and Chrome App.

 

Unlike the previous series, it’s a “dramatic idol training card game”, in which we produce boy-idols! Players, producers of 315 (Pronunciation: Saikou! Meaning: Ultimate!) Production, proceed on their ways towards the top idols with their idolsヾ(*・∀・)/

 

 

 

 

There are currently 46 idols with 15 units, who belong to the production! Find your own idol among many appearing idols and train him to become a top idol(｀･ω･´)+!

 

What’s so special about THE IDOLM@STER? It’s singing! Concerts! Of course SideM is not exceptional. Enjoy its music too!

 

Each unit continuously release the CDs and they ended up holding the 1^st concert by the voice actors in December, 2015.

 

 

 

 

 

☆How to play

 

 

Players proceed in the game by going to business (performing promotion) and training(^o^)!

 

By performing such business with idols, players can raise both producer’s experience value and idols’ reliability!

 

There are “Lesson” and “Change” in the training. In the Lesson, we can raise the card’s level of the idols that we recruited. In the Change, we raise the idols using the same two cards. If it’s changed, not only does the card get strong but the pattern also changes! It’s awesome, right?

 

By keeping performing the business and training, various characteristics and the past of the idols gradually become clear!

 

You can even read a part of their stories such as why they want to be idols in manga in the game♪

 

 

All you can do is to tap! It’s super easy! Why don’t you play it now?

 

It’s such a simple game but you’ll get closer to the game after you find your favorite character!

 

 

 

☆Introduction of the Idols

 

 

The concept of SideM is “Idols with some reasons!”

 

There are “various reasons” why they joined the 315 Production, such as quitting the former job (not necessarily the jobs). Actually, such unique backgrounds draw their individualities!

 

Now, I’ll share some idol units in 315 Production with you guys!

 

 

 

Jupiter

This is a unit with three idols: a passionate idol, Touma Amagase, a great dancer, Mitarai Shota, Ciao☆Hokuto Ijuuin.

They used to be popular idols who belonged to 961 Production. But they offended their Boss (Kuroi)’s policy (For more detail, check out anime THE IDOLM@STER!) and transferred to 315 Production to restart their idol life! They are such legendary idols that so many fans and producers were waiting for their active roles! Even though they are young in 315 Production, they are dependable, ideal buddies among other idols.

 

 

DRAMATIC STARS

It’s a unit with three idols: Tendou Teru (used to be a lawyer), who has a sense of justice, Sakuraba Kaoru (used to be a doctor), who is a perfectionist, Kashiwagi Tsubasa (used to be a pilot), who is always calm.

Such a brilliant promising new members! High educational background! They are the ones who we can recruit first in the tutorial of the game. Why don’t you produce them, who grow up, arguing and admitting with each other!

 

 

Altessimo

It’s a former musician unit with two idols: Tsuzuki Kei (used to be a composer), Kagura Rei (used to be a violinist).

Tsuzuki-San, who goes her own way, and Rei, who is too serious... With such different personalities, they talk past each other. Tsuzuki sometimes has Rei wrapped around her finger... They sincerely face the music and respect each other’s music.

It’s a unit with three idols: Takajo Kyouji (used to be a part-time worker), Pierre (used to be a part-time worker as a living doll), Watanabe Minori (used to work in the flour shop).

It’s an Orthodox-School Prince-Type idol group in which each idol has a secret past! They’ve known with each other before they became idols so they’re just like warm family members!

It’s a twin idol unit: Aoi Yusuke and Aoi Kyosuke who both used to be succor players!

Older brother, Yusuke broke his knee and quit a succor player. Kyosuke seems to be responsible and feel indebted for that injury. Their cheerful singing and dancing attract people!

It’s a former public official unit with three idols: Akuno Hideo (used to be a police officer), who looks like a villain, Kimura Ryu (used to be a fire fighter), who is unhealthy and unlucky, Shingen Seiji (used to be a self-defense official), who always carries a sawing set.

They are muscular with a sense of justice!

It’s a unit with three idols: Nekoyanagi Kirio (used to be a Rakugo [comic] Storyteller), whose story-like music is unique, Hanamura Shoma (used to be Kabuki actor), who lives without being discouraged by adversity, Kiyoshumi Kuro (used to be a master of tea ceremony), who never compromises.

They deliver a Japanese mind from the traditional art field!

 

 

High×Joker

It’s a unit with five high school band-idols: Akiyama Hayato (GT.), who always want to be popular among girls, Fuyumi Jun (Key.), who is straight-laced, Sakaki Natsuki (Ba.), who is quiet and mysterious, Wakazato Haruna (Dr.), who loves doughnuts and Iseya Shiki (Vo.), who is always super excited!

They are so young and energetic that we kind of want to cheer them up!

 

 

Shinsoku Ikkon

It’s a unit with two idols: Akai Suzaku who is hot-blooded, Kurono Genbu who has brilliant mind.

They always carry out justice but are naughty at the same time! They have been good friends with each other since junior high school. A cat that Suzaku has is “Nyako”. They are always together.

 

 

Cafe Parade

It’s a café unit with five idols: Kamiya Yukihiro (owner), who has bad sense direction, Shinonome Souichirou (pastry), who is scary when he gets mad, Asselin BB II (Chef), who serves a fallen Angel, Satan, Uzuki Makio (Waiter), who loves cake and Mizushima Saki (maid).

They deliver happiness! You’ll surely be healed with delicious dishes, tea, and wonderful smiles.

It’s a Child-Actor unit with three idols: Okamura Nao (used to be a child actor), who is shy, Tachibana Shirou (used to be a child actor), who is mischievous and Himeno Kanon (used to be a child model), who loves outfit (fashion).

They are all elementary school boys and the youngest among all the units!

 

 

S.E.M

It’s a former high school teacher unit: Hazama Michio (used to be a math teacher), Maita Rui (used to be an English teacher), Yamashita Jirou (used to be a chemistry teacher), who all lead students!

We have a serious image when we think of the teacher but look at these costumes they’re wearing! Universal-like? Future-like? It’s an adult unit, being the oldest in average among the entire unit.

 

 

THE KOGADO

It’s the former passionate martial artist unit with three idols: Taiga Takeru (used to be a boxer), Enjoji Michiru (used to work at a ramen restaurant and a judo expert) and Kizaki Ren (used to be Nihon Kempo expert)!

Takeru and Ren always compete with each other.

 

 

F-LAGS

It’s a three-idol-unit: Ryo Akizuki (used to be an idol wearing female dress), Tsukumo Kazuki (used to be a novelist) and Kabuto Daigo (used to be a Rokudaime [the sixth]).

Ryo was taking an active role as a female idol in the former 876 Pro (More details? Check out the game DS!), but he made his debut as a male idol again in 315 Pro! It seems that each member has something special in their past. The past-self is changed first and the trip to the revolution has just begun!

It’s a new unit with three idols: Koron Chris (used to be an oceanographer), Kitamura Sora (used to be a general goods store), Kuzunoha Amehiko (used to be a cleaning staff). They passed the audition!

 

 

 

Have you found an idol that you want to produce?

My recommendation is Wakazato Haruna who is in charge of drum in High×Joker!

Haruna repeated his high school year twice since he had to work part-time due to his family matters and he was about to be expelled from school! Even though he was a member of the light music club, he wasn’t actually participating in the activity. But he was told that he could avoid the chance if he achieves a record on the club activity. Then he made his debut as an idol in the light music club*。ヾ(｡>ｖ<｡)ﾉﾞ*。!

 

He is dependable and the oldest among all the members in High×Joker and strong enough to be able to deal with any difficulties cheerfully. He sometimes gives his favorite doughnuts to other members or producers. He’s such a considerate and kind boy.

 

But Haruna wasn’t as eager as other members when it comes to performing on the stage. He didn’t look confident, thinking “I’m just doing this just because our producer cheers us up” or “Okay, I gotta enjoy it, huh?”, unlike other members with a clear intention such as “I want to perform on that stage!” But!!! After having gone through various experiences, we can see Haruna start thinking “I’m so grateful for being an idol!” In the 2^nd Anniversary event, he even said , “It’s so fun doing this now.” “I’m super happy being an idol with other members.”!

 

Everybody, please stay with a high school idol, Wakazato Haruna, who finally met buddies that “he can feel comfortable and honest with”! They are spreading towards the world right now! I want to take him to a brilliant stage!
