Mafuyu(^q^): As it was said in saori press, yesterday (July 7^th) was the Star Festival! I wrote, “Souhoku High School will win the victory” on Tanzaku (a wishing paper)!

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): Speaking of Tanzaku! It’s C part of episode 5 from Fafner in the Azure EXODUS! The scene where the main character, Makabe Kazuki, who was dying, smashed the Tanzaku that said “I want to stay alive”!

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): He ended up writing “May the island stay peaceful” on Tanzaku, decorated on the bamboo leaves. (Episode 6)

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): And here comes Minashiro Orihime-chan, who is a Tsundere (hot and cold) heroine!

Mafuyu(^q^): Wow, she’s such a cute girl!

 

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): Since she woke up on Tanabata (July 7^th), she was named Orihime! Orihime is a Japanese name of the Lyre, Vega and the other half of the pair, Hikoboshi is a Japanese name of the Aquila, Altair. In the story of EXODUS, Altair was named for the “Mir” (a crystal life-form that the enemy, Festum, got together at high dimension), which comes from the universe to attack. Even though the story develops towards the conversation with Altair, who has the ability of reforming the power balance in the world, human-beings didn’t have that power. As soon as she made sure that “the world became a future full of hopes”, she sealed Altair and gave her life to the island. It was such a sad ending that I couldn’t help but cried...

Mafuyu(^q^): It’s gloomy, it really is, Aoi!!! Plus I don’t get what you’re saying too! That might be an Otaku thing... Here, we’re supposed to share something fun with our friends though!!!!!

 

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): Come on~ I’m having fun, you know~?

 

Mafuyu(^q^): Our friends are not able to enjoy it though, right? Humph! Humph! The whole town is in a festive mode, you know?!

 

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): That’s for sure! It’s so lively around the office too. The sound of the musical band made me not want to work!

 

Mafuyu(^q^): Not only the places that have offices but any other places in Japan are having festivals during the Star Festival season!

 

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): By the way, I’ve heard that the Star Festival in Sendai will collaborate with Haikyuu!! All the characters from Haikyuu!! will appear in the Star Festival decoration called “Fukinagashi”!

 

Mafuyu(^q^): Wow~! For real?!! That’s the information that I wanted to get!

Mafuyu(^q^): Karasuno High School, which is a stage of the high school in the story, is located in Sendai city of Miyagi Prefecture! I bet everybody in Karasuno are enjoying the Sendai Star Festival♪

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): Sendai Star Festival takes place in the old calendar so we are not missing it out yet! This year, it takes place during August 6^th ~ 8^th!

 

Mafuyu(^q^): We are able to see the stars well in August, when the rainy season just finished and Orihime and Hikobosi will be able to see each other over the Amanogawa (Milky Way) as well.

 

Aoi( ´_ゝ`): You’re right! Other than that festival, the festivals at various regions have recently been collaborating with anime too~
