‡New Face, Mafuyu’s Special Blog!‡

~We share Japanese Otaku Cultures with you, which you can make use of right away~

Hello our friends! It’s Mafuyu from Otaku Republic (^q^)

It’s Tsuyu here in Japan!

Tsuyu is a rainy season that Japan has, which lasts from the beginning of June to the middle of July. Uhhhhh.... still a long way to go... (´-ω-`)

Not only is the sky dark but I’m also getting depressed due to the long rain... (ι´・ω・`;)

If only I could have someone who I can put up an umbrella with...

I guess I don’t have anyone like that... ヽ(T-T )ノ ヽ( T-T)ノ

To blow away such a melancholy feeling and to let everybody in the world know what I’ve been into, I’ll share one of the good old Japanese cultures, ‘Ita-Bag’=痛バッグ with you guys, which Otaku buddies get crazy about!!!

Read this special blog, and you’ll never be embarrassed even if you walk along Akihabara all by yourself tomorrow! You’ll definitely be an awesome Otaku!

You wonder what’s the ‘Ita-Bag’, which is featured in this article, huh?

‘Ita-Bag’ is an abbreviation for the ‘Itai (痛い= ‘be painful’ or ‘hurting’ in Japanese) Bag’. In short, it’s a bag that has lots of characters’ goods (Straps, Badges, Pins and more and more…) on, which the owner loves!

For instance, in Japan, we call cars that have stickers of anime or games’ characters on, ‘Ita-Sha (車= ‘a car’ in Japanese) and we also call rooms that have goods or posters of anime or games’ characters in, ‘Ita-Beya (部屋= ‘a room’ in Japanese)!!!

Not only do some people put metal badges or straps but they also put cushions or bromides on the Ita-Bag!
Guess what???!!!!!!!! They even put plates on it!!! Σ(゚□゚(゚□゚*)

We often see people holding Ita-Bag not only in the anime events but also in Ikebukuro or Akihabara, where there are anime shops!

Making original Ita-Bag is so popular in Japan that it was even covered by media like TV.

Here are some types of the Ita-Bag, which we often see!

・Holding More Than Two Bags-Type
・Impromptu-Type
・Altar-Type
・Running Away From Home-Type
・Grape Picking-Type

etc....

I bet you have no idea even if you only hear the name, huh.....? (゚Д゚≡゚Д゚)!!!!!

Hinoyama Sakura / DYNAMIC CHORD

It’s quite heavy with more than two bags!!!!!
Just make sure, strong shoulders and arms are necessary to hold these bags.

Next, Impromptu-Type!

This type represents people who are like, ‘I just put goods that I’ve got for now’. Since they don’t put too many goods, they can casually appeal to people that they are fans of the character!

Juushimatsu & Todomatsu / Osomatsu-san

Next, Altar-Type!

We call this type for people who have bags that are decorated in a cute way such as making heart-shape with metal badges or putting lace or ribbons. To make this clearer, this bag is specialized with being Kawaii!! (Cute)!

Next, Running Away From Home-Type.

Dad... Mom... Please do not worry.
They won’t actually run away from home......

This type represents people who bring every goods they own as if they were actually running away from home!
Do you remember I explained earlier about people who put a plate on the bag? That’s one of the good examples of this type.

They hold stuffed animals or cushions in their hands, put bath towels or blankets on like cloaks! They just stand out!

Since key holders are piled up, they’re just so heavy!!!!! Just make sure, strong shoulders and arms are necessary to hold this bag.

As I showed you above, everybody enjoys making their own original bags!!

I bet though, some people might be wondering how they can make them??

So today, I’m going to show you guys how to make it\(○^ω^○)/
Are you ready?!!

1. First, get a bag and goods ready.

People usually have double-bags made from clear bags and cloth bags. (This double-bag can prevent us from losing goods(☆Д☆)Smart!)

Today, I’ll use Tokiya Ichinose from Uta no Prince-sama , which I recommend.

2. Pick goods that you want to put and decide your desired layout.
(This is the most important part! What kind of patterns of goods do you want to put? What kind of layout do you want it to be? You’ll need some time for this. \( `┝ω┥´)/)

3. Now, put those goods on the bag...
And it’s done!!!!!!

Now you’re a pro ‘Ita-Bag’ maker, huh?(`・0・´)

Give it a try to make your original ‘Ita-Bag’!!

I hope you all enjoyed this article...

It’s Aoi’s turn to share fun information with you guys next week. Look forward to it(o^▽^o)ノ゚

see you guys soooon♪
