Actually, there was recently a huge development for a certain series... remarkably, two new anime movies were announced! So, I’d like to take a close look at that news!

This news was announced at ”ONE PIECE DAY,” a ONE PIECE fan appreciation event held on August 22 and 23! It’s the first new ONE PIECE movie since ”ONE PIECE FILM RED,” which was released in 2022 and grossed 20.3 billion yen!

The first one announced is ”ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY”! It is set to be released in the summer of 2027, which marks the milestone 30th anniversary of the ONE PIECE serialization! As suggested by the subtitle, it seems to be an animated depiction of the God Valley Incident—a super important past event that could be called the origin of ONE PIECE...! The God Valley Incident is described as: ”There was once a legendary pirate crew covered up by the World Government and a major incident caused by them,” and ”Garp and Roger joined forces to defeat that pirate crew”... and it looks like the full picture will be thoroughly depicted in the movie!

The second movie is ”ONE PIECE FILM BAAD”! This one is scheduled for release in 2029, and nothing has been mentioned about the story yet. Since the official word is that ONE PIECE is getting very close to its climax right now, some are speculating that it might be a story set after the conclusion (meaning the main manga might already be finished by the time the movie comes out in 2029)! Many theories are flying around at the moment, but there might be hints in the information released from here on out...!

As I mentioned earlier, 2027 is a special year marking the 30th anniversary of the ONE PIECE serialization, but it’s also an important year when a new anime series will begin! With its 30th anniversary and over 100 volumes, it’s an absolute masterpiece!
