Today! It seems a new story is beginning with the release of the theatrical movie~! What exactly is a Medicine Seller in the first place? Approaching that true identity, it looks like a third Medicine Seller will emerge onto the center stage...!

To briefly explain the work Mononoke, it's a story where the protagonist, the 'Medicine Seller,' travels all over Japan to exorcise or resolve mononoke (apparitions). The 'Medicine Seller' carries the 'Exorcism Sword' that slashes mononoke, and will solve cases associated with ghosts and yokai from Japanese folklore, as well as ghost stories that everyone knows. The visuals are just incredibly beautiful~! While being as vivid as stained glass, it also possesses a unique... mysteriousness, and yet, since the subject matter deals with Japanese traditions and apparitions, it has the charm of conveying a Japanese atmosphere as well!

In the theatrical movie, it was revealed that the 'Medicine Sellers' who appeared in the TV series and the movie so far look very similar but are different people. Formally, it was revealed that 'Medicine Seller' in this world does not refer to a specific individual, but is a name that refers to the respective wielders of the 64 Exorcism Swords, which exert immense power against mononoke!

And among those 64 Exorcism Swords, there are 8 special swords called the 'Onmyo Hakke' (Yin-Yang Eight Trigrams), and the Medicine Sellers from the movie, the TV anime version, and the newly announced third Medicine Seller are the possessors of those special 8 Exorcism Swords. Simultaneously with the role of the existence of the Medicine Sellers and the announcement of 'Inui no Kusuriuri,' the publication of a new novel series starring the three Medicine Sellers who have appeared so far as protagonists has been decided! It means that the story, which was supposed to have concluded in the movie, will begin anew from the perspectives of each protagonist!

In an interview, the voice actor for 'Inui no Kusuriuri' mentioned that they are also recording audio, so there is a possibility that a new TV series or theatrical movie is launching!
