Today! I found some news I was curious about, so I checked it out right away! It looks like that ultimate tag team has announced their 4th new project together~!

It's still just the initial announcement and hardly any information is out yet... but I'm so curious~! That's right! Anime director Hiroyuki Imaishi and screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima are teaming up once again to announce a new project! The animation production is, of course, by TRIGGER!

What's so amazing about this tag team? Well... they are the duo that created and released the anime 'Gurren Lagann' in 2007, the anime 'KILL la KILL' in 2013, and the anime film 'PROMARE' in 2019~! This announcement is to let us know that they are going to start creating a video work for their 4th collaboration!

When you heard this breaking news, weren't you curious about what format it will take—whether it will be an anime series or a theatrical film, or if it will be a sequel to a previous work or a completely new creation~?

Personally, I think it will be a completely new theatrical anime film like Promare! While an anime series isn't completely out of the question, the animation studio TRIGGER has actually stated that they will announce a new anime project in October 2026. Plus, the second season of the Delicious in Dungeon anime is set to broadcast around October 2027, so I feel their schedule might be pretty tight... That's why I speculate a theatrical film where flashy action scenes shine would be easier to make!

There is a possibility of it being a sequel to one of the works produced from their 1st to 3rd collaborations... but on social media, many fans were of the opinion, 'Since every title concluded beautifully, I'd want to see a sequel but honestly I'm not wishing for one. I want them to depict a new world and characters!' I kind of agree with that! Because it's a great world and a future that those characters grabbed through a desperate struggle, I want it to be left as it is... though at the same time, I totally get the feeling of thinking, 'But if there's a continuation, I definitely want to see it!!'!

And as a common opinion, a super cool robot will definitely appear! Everyone, please try to predict what kind of work this 4th project will turn out to be!
