One day, a boy named Kore Shiki enrolls in a high school in Kamakura.
On the day of the entrance ceremony, Kore Shiki meets Mogari,
a boy who can eat ghosts.
Although Shiki couldn't see ghosts at all and didn't believe in them,
he was saved from a psychic phenomenon that was attacking him.
After being told specific details about how his deceased grandmother is still watching over him,
he comes to realize that ghosts do indeed exist in this world,
even if he cannot see them.

Kamakura, Japan, was once a capital city
and is an area where various ghosts still roam today.
Despite being a high school student, Mogari performs exorcisms, and Shiki ends up helping him even though he can’t see the spirits.
Thus, the Exorcism Lovers Club, ”Phantom Busters,” is formed.
Before long, other students with ghost-related abilities start joining
one after another, but......?

Usually in stories like this, a kid who can see ghosts plays the lead role, or the club is formed in an environment where everyone seeing ghosts is a given. That’s why it’s so interesting that a boy who can’t see ghosts at all acts as a main character! Since he gets caught up in supernatural phenomena, he knows for sure that ghosts exist, but the fact that he can’t see them and therefore can’t help is a frustrating situation...... How he overcomes that, and how the other three who can see ghosts operate, is the highlight!
