This time, the latest information about the live-action movie of that famous soccer manga, scheduled for release this summer, has been revealed! The actor playing the lead role, Yoichi-kun, is...... that actor we've seen recently in another live-action movie based on a Jump-style manga!

The release of the Blue Lock live-action movie has been announced for the summer of 2026, which is a World Cup year! They are really putting their heart into it; the production was announced around September 28th last year, and it seems the members were chosen through auditions with nearly 1,000 candidates...... and the one playing the lead role, Isagi Yoichi-kun, is Fumiya Takahashi! He is a hot actor who has appeared in many dramas and live-action films recently, and he is so skilled at character building and action that he was even selected for the role of Shin Asakura in SAKAMOTO DAYS!

According to the director, they really wanted to cast him as Isagi Yoichi because of his dedication to the role and his enthusiasm, but his soccer skills—which are the heart of Blue Lock—weren't that high initially.
