The SUNRISE 50th Anniversary Project has been
announced & launched!

Along with the initial report, the production of a completely new anime,
”Armored Trooper VOTOMS: The Grey Witch,” was announced!
They announced that they will develop commemorative projects aimed at expanding recognition of the Sunrise brand!

There are several anime production companies in Japan, but today I’m introducing news about an anime production company called Sunrise reaching its 50th anniversary!

To commemorate this 50th anniversary, Sunrise announced they will carry out a project from 2026 to 2028 to increase the recognition of various anime they have produced! Since they are an anime studio, they’ll probably announce various developments in 2026 and then broadcast or release them sequentially in 2027 and 2028...... right?

Looking at this announced lineup, what I think is that series made recently that are already quite famous...... for example, Love Live! series, Gintama, TIGER & BUNNY, etc., are already very well-known, so they aren't the targets of this project. It looks like a plan to mainly improve the recognition of series produced over 10 years ago, primarily robot-themed anime!
