This time! I've got news that an anime adaptation has been confirmed! After 5 years of serialization, the latest work by Hiroshi Shiibashi-sensei—who previously wrote 'Nurarihyon no Mago (Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan)'—is finally becoming an anime!

So! As I've mentioned in a previous article, the latest work by Hiroshi Shiibashi-sensei—'Recommendation from Mr. Iwamoto (Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen)'—is getting an anime adaptation!

The genre is Dark Fantasy x Ability Battle! To briefly explain the story...... the setting is the 1910s, and it's a tale of boys attending a certain army middle school. These students share one thing in common: 'they possess abilities that can be converted for military use.' Since children with such abilities often cause supernatural phenomena by losing control of their powers, the principal orders the students to investigate these occurrences and bring the responsible children under the school's protection.

Having written the long-running yokai-themed “Nurarihyon no Mago”, sensei's ability to depict eerie entities and the dynamic energy of battle actions is top-notch! The work portrays the inner struggles of boys who suffer from their own innate abilities while inadvertently causing supernatural disturbances. It’s been a hot topic for being a compelling, cool read!

We don't know the exact air date yet, but since it was just announced, I'm guessing around early 2027? The manga is currently serialized in Ultra Jump, with 10 volumes out!
