This time! Part 7’s anime adaptation has been confirmed! But wait, what’s going on with the ongoing series? Let’s casually explore that question and take a look at the current JoJo timeline together!

To quickly review, JoJo is now booming thanks to the anime adaptation of Jojo Part 7: Steel Ball Run! Parts 1 to 6 were connected through the same timeline, but at the end of Part 6, the universe was reset. From Part 7 onward, we follow JoJos from an alternate timeline!

Currently, JoJo is being serialized up to Part 9! Whether there’s a direct connection from the altered timeline of Part 7 to Part 8...... we don’t know for sure yet! But since Part 7 and 8 were connected, there’s a chance Part 9 is too! (You can understand Part 9 without reading Part 8, but since some blood relatives appear, it’s recommended if you can read Part 8 first!)

Now, let’s get to the main topic—Jojo Part 9: The JoJoLands! It began serialization in February 2023 as the ninth part of JoJo. The manga is up to volume 6 now. Since it’s serialized in a monthly magazine, the pace is slow, but the story is progressing steadily!

So, what’s the story? It’s set in Hawaii! The protagonist, Jodio Joestar, has a dream of becoming super rich. One day, he hears that a Japanese man carrying an insanely expensive diamond has arrived in Hawaii. Jodio and his crew plan to steal it...... but it turns out that man is none other than Kishibe Rohan, a familiar face in the JoJo series!?

Technically, this is a different timeline from Parts 1–6, so this Kishibe Rohan is a different person...... but he shares many similarities and still has his Stand ability. Meeting—no, running into—this Rohan drastically changes Jodio’s fate!
