Now that we’ve entered July, the 2025 summer anime season is kicking off! I previously introduced the upcoming summer anime lineup, but...... come to think of it, what anime movies are scheduled to be released in the second half of 2025?

【2025 Anime Movies】Must-See Recommended Anime Films Coming in the Second Half of 2025!

So! I got curious about what movies are coming out and did some research! Surprisingly, there aren't that many brand-new titles—there are quite a few revival screenings—but I still picked out the must-see ones! Let’s check them out!

June 2025

Kidou Senshi Gundam: Senkou no Hathaway - Circe no Majo (Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway - The Sorcery of Nymph Circe)

Personally, I think the Kimetsu movie in July and the Chainsaw Man movie in September are absolutely unmissable! That’s because both of these movies are direct continuations of the main storyline, shown in theaters! The Kimetsu movie continues from the anime series aired in May 2024 and covers the final arc (Volumes 16–23), which is a hugely important episode!

And the Chainsaw Man movie adapts the continuation of the anime aired in October 2022 (covering Volumes 5–6), so it’s a must-watch! Kimetsu will likely conclude the story entirely in theaters, while Chainsaw Man will probably return to a TV series after covering the Reze arc in the movie—so keep an eye out!

There’s still little information available, but I’m also excited about The Legend of Hei II! Judging by the key visual, not much time seems to have passed......? So I’m curious to see more updates! Be sure to check out the anime movies scheduled for release in the second half of 2025!
