This work is very simple, yet it really makes you wonder what will happen next! Set in the present day, Kyouji, a member of a yakuza group, is forced to participate in an internal karaoke competition. But when he hears about the outrageous punishment for the loser, he decides he must avoid it at all costs...... That’s when he sets his sights on Satomi, a middle schooler in the choir club!

Terrified by the fact that Kyouji is a yakuza, Satomi is initially hesitant. But seeing how badly Kyouji wants to improve—and how horribly he sings—he can’t just ignore him and cautiously starts to teach him. Will Kyouji be able to avoid the punishment at the karaoke competition!? And what secret burden is Satomi quietly carrying......?

Though it features a yakuza character, there are no excessively violent scenes! The story focuses on a yakuza who wants to sing better and a junior high boy with his own troubles who helps him. Their interactions are charming precisely because they come from completely different worlds. Watching their growing friendship is heartwarming~! The reason the live-action film was so well received lies in its heartfelt drama and comedy!
