The classic Jump manga Hell Teacher Nūbē, where a teacher wielding demonic power protects his students from invading specters and urban legends, is getting a new anime!

Why am I introducing this work now? Because the manga version is already complete! The anime’s release is still a bit away, but with 31 volumes total, if you start reading now at a relaxed pace, you just might finish in time for summer—so I thought I’d share it with you!

This is a popular series blending school life, horror, and battle action! It ran for six years and concluded with a satisfying finale—many fans have long awaited this new anime adaptation!

This remake is getting a lot of attention! That’s because most of the original voice actors are returning, and the animation closely reflects the manga with a polished look—so exciting! The original anime aired decades ago, and sadly some voice actors have retired or passed away. But it’s clear the staff wanted to keep the main role of Nūbē unchanged, which is heartwarming. With this much care, I’m sure they’ll follow the manga’s storyline faithfully. Some scenes might be hard to depict in today’s context, but I’m really curious to see how they’ll remake it!
