Congrats on the anime adaptation~!!! So this time, I’ll give you a quick rundown of Shota Oni, which has just been greenlit for anime! Technically, it’s a BL manga, but it doesn’t depict a romantic relationship—still, it’s full of cute expressions of deep affection, making it a relaxing and sweet BL manga that’s been generating buzz!

The key characters are a 10-year-old boy and an 18-year-old young man (they're not brothers)! Tsubaki, the 10-year-old, absolutely loves his kind neighbor Yu, who has looked after him since they were little! Tsubaki is determined to make Yu happy no matter what...... but Yu, being 18, doesn’t take him seriously at all! So frustrating! This is the laid-back everyday life of the two that Shota Oni depicts!

The large age gap is super cute in itself, but what’s really adorable is how Tsubaki works so hard to get Yu to like him back! Even though it’s a BL manga, it doesn’t have any extreme content, so it’s easy to read—and I’d totally recommend it to people who are reading BL for the first time!
