So! The annual movie adaptation of that anime is here again! The latest information about the new movie is being released one after another...... Do you already know who this year’s key character is!?

It seems like this one is going to be quite serious again! To recap, the latest movie, Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback (Meitantei Conan: Sekigan no Zanzou), is the 28th installment in the movie series and is scheduled to premiere on April 18, 2025! When I read the synopsis, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s interesting!’ Yamato Kansuke, the other key character, has been one-eyed since his first appearance, but the reason behind it has never been revealed. The incident that led to it is being released as a movie this time, and it turns out Mouri Kogorou was involved. The snowy mountain case was supposed to have been resolved...... but apparently, it wasn’t.

From the preview videos and exhibit panels released so far, it seems that while the Black Organization isn’t involved, a large number of police-related characters are. Mouri Kogorou is a character who’s appeared frequently in the movies, but I feel it’s been quite a while since he’s been announced to play a leading role! Young Kogorou had a much more reckless, different kind of cool vibe compared to now, so I’m really excited.
