This time! The final chapter is now being animated, and the broadcast has begun! Characters who once shared a school life have gone their separate ways...... or so it seemed. But due to a sinister incident, their paths are beginning to cross again......

In the final season, the major incidents that have been central to the story so far are resolved, and we see each character taking their separate paths and starting new lives.

The incidents, and the struggles they cause, are central to what Beastars represents. This story features wolves, rabbits, deer, and other animals living human-like lives. While it might sound like a whimsical fantasy world, Beastars is anything but.

Carnivores like wolves live with the constant urge to devour herbivores. This isn’t just an occasional issue—it’s a daily occurrence and an eternal social problem in this world.

Even at the school where Legoshi and the other main characters attended, there was an incident where a herbivore student was eaten. Seasons 1 and 2 focused on solving that case......

In the final season, with that incident resolved, new challenges arise. The wolf protagonist, Legoshi, leaves the academy, while his friend, the deer Louis, graduates and attempts to tackle the coexistence issue between carnivores and herbivores on his own.

Those who dropped out, those who graduated, and those who stayed at the academy...... each of the main characters started down their chosen paths, believing they might never meet again.

However, another incident occurs. Herbivores in the city are being attacked purely for pleasure. The first episode of the final season begins with a concise explanation of the characters’ lives and the world they inhabit. It introduces a new incident, which becomes a significant issue for both herbivores and carnivores, forcing each character to confront their own sense of identity and existence.

I’ve written a lot of complicated things, but basically, the first episode served as a well-crafted recap! It didn’t just stop at explanations—it also gave a glimpse of what’s to come, making it a great way to revisit the story so far!

The opening of Beastars is always stylish, and the ending is beautiful~. But the themes it tackles are so heavy that it’s heart-wrenching to watch. The characters struggle against what feels like a cursed fate or primal instincts. Be sure to recap and follow their fates in the first episode of the final season!
