To briefly summarize the story, it’s set in wartime Japan. On a certain island, military boys are stationed, awaiting their fate as members of the Kamikaze corps.

The Kamikaze corps was a unit that flew planes loaded with explosives, crashing them into key enemy bases. Returning alive was almost impossible, as they were fated to sacrifice their lives to secure Japan’s victory.

The story delves into the relationships between these Kamikaze boys and those connected to them. Boys facing imminent death, those who photograph them to leave memories for their families, and more...... The manga unfolds through the perspectives of various characters.

Some boys have already accepted their fate, while others still struggle with regrets...... The captivating setting and story are so brilliant that the first volume, released in 2023, became a huge hit!

An anime adaptation...... is probably unlikely. The story is depicted with such raw realism that it leaves a deep emotional impact. Although it’s a BL manga, it also stands out as an exceptional ensemble drama. I highly recommend checking out both volumes!
