Mash Burnedead is the protagonist of this story. In a world where magic is commonplace, he stands out as someone who can’t use magic. Normally, he’d be executed on sight, but to protect the peaceful life he shares with his grandfather who raised him, he decides to attend a magic school and aims to become the top student, a ‘Divine Visionary.’ What? Magic school with no magic? Well, Mash has incredible physical strength and solves everything not with magic, but with muscles!

And Rayne Ames is one of those ‘Divine Visionaries’ that Mash aspires to become, and he’s also the older brother of Mash’s classmate, Finn Ames! His magical skills are top-notch, as expected of a Divine Visionary!

So, what’s their relationship? Well, Rayne was actually advised by his teacher to keep an eye on Mash. Moreover, seeing that his younger brother Finn is having a positive school life thanks to Mash’s influence, he comes to realize that Mash’s actions, despite his lack of magic, come from his sincere character, and he starts to support Mash’s journey to become a Divine Visionary.

By the way, Rayne loves rabbits, and it’s well known that the handkerchief he lent Mash to heal his wounds had an adorably cute pattern on it. So cute.

As mentioned earlier, these two are brothers! Finn Ames is Rayne’s younger brother. After losing their parents at a young age, Finn decided to attend the same magic school as Rayne, even while moving between relatives.

To Rayne, Finn is family, the only person he has left to protect. By the time Rayne appears in the story, he is already a Divine Visionary, and there’s a slight distance between them as brothers...... but as the story progresses, that distance gradually closes. This journey is part of what makes them such a popular duo!

This pair is also very popular! Lance Crown and Dot Barrett are both first-year students like Mash and share the same room. They often act together with Mash, making them a close-knit team. Lance is serious and a top student with strong magical abilities, while Dot is rough around the edges but has a warm heart and values friendship. (He gets jealous of popular guys, but he’s a good kid.)

Dot, feeling insecure about his lack of popularity with girls, isn’t too fond of handsome Lance, and Lance doesn’t try to get along with Dot, who’s always confrontational. So they often clash, but a certain event gradually changes their dynamic...... it’s truly heartwarming!

These two appeared as Mash’s enemies. They are the No.1 and No.2 of the ‘Magia Lupus,’ a group of seven outstanding students in one of the school dormitories called Lang Dorm.

Abyss Razor has gone through a lot due to a certain ability he was born with, one that most wizards would shun. However, it was Abel who accepted Abyss and gave him a place to belong. Abel doesn’t seek to exploit Abyss and the others, but rather sees them as allies in the fight to change a world dominated by wizards. Though they’re Mash’s enemies, their strong and genuine bond makes them a fitting duo even as adversaries, which many fans appreciate.
