What’s going on with the next Ryu ga Gotoku 8 Gaiden!?

So! Ryu ga Gotoku 8 was released last year and was a big hit, but now an additional gaiden (side story) has been announced! And the star of this highly anticipated story is...... the fan-favorite character Majima Goro, now turning 60!?

So Goro-chan became a pirate after that final showdown with Kiryu-chan, huh? And he's suffering from amnesia...... but he looks way too good as a pirate! So, the main character of this gaiden is Majima Goro, known as 'Shima no Kyouken' (The Mad Dog of Shimano), one of the most popular characters in the Ryu ga Gotoku series, always ranking at the top of fan polls!

Actually, this 8th gaiden is set for release in February 2025, but it was available for early play at the recent Tokyo Game Show! The demo available at that time was talked about as being really fun!

Judging by this early gameplay footage, shouldn't Goro-chan have lost his memories? But doesn't he look way too lively?Of course, he's fighting as usual, but he also looks super energetic delivering food in a stylish way on a bicycle.Is he really struggling with memory loss???

To sum it up, this gaiden tells the story set six months after Ryu ga Gotoku 8! So, we might see some of those characters who made appearances in 8......A lot of things happened, and I was curious about what would come next, so anyone who played Ryu ga Gotoku 8 should definitely keep an eye on this! More than anything, it just looks like fun! That feeling comes across so strongly, and I think it’s going to be a great game! Will Goro-chan’s memories return......!?
