Everyone! I’m sure you’re hearing a lot of fall anime news, but...... October 5th! This date is a hot topic among anime fans! Do you know what show will be airing on this day? Well, on this day, something incredible will happen......!

That’s right! So, on 10/5, the spin-off movie Blue Lock: Episode Nagi, which hit theaters in April 2024, will be broadcast on TV, and you’ll be able to watch it right from home!

The movie is about 90 minutes long, and it gives you an explanation of what Blue Lock is all about—not from the viewpoint of the main character Isagi Yoichi, but from his rival, Nagi Seishirou. There's a lot of action (soccer match scenes), and it’s a compelling story, even for first-time viewers!

And then, right after that, Episode 1 of Season 2 will air, which I think is a really viewer-friendly structure! You can revisit the world and characters through the movie, and for those who haven’t seen it yet, it’ll be a pleasant surprise. Then, with everyone caught up, we dive into Season 2 Episode 1! This way, you won’t be left confused about the story, which is a great point!

I think Episode Nagi will give a brief explanation, but in Season 2, the selection process continues, narrowing down the candidates to 35. However, at this point, the Blue Lock project itself faces a huge crisis—whether it will survive or not. The remaining 35 players must prove their strength and potential to the higher-level U-20 Japan National Team...... that’s the gist of it! The manga is still ongoing, but from here, the number of characters gets reduced, so they’re able to put more focus on each one, making the story even more exciting! Don’t miss the updated uniforms and the new characters introduced!
