To explain the synopsis a bit more briefly......
The protagonist, detective Atou Haruki, learns that his junior, Shinano Eiji, whom he was taking care of, has gone missing.
Shinano Eiji was found in a state of amnesia, with nowhere to go, so he was taken in and worked as Haruki's junior, but one day he suddenly disappears.
Upon investigation, it seems Shinano Eiji was last seen near the hideout of the religious cult he was planning to infiltrate. Believing Eiji must have infiltrated the hideout, Atou Haruki also sneaks in but is knocked unconscious by someone from behind.
When he next wakes up, Atou Haruki finds himself in a cell in the hideout.
At the same time...... he hears screams echoing, hideous roars like monsters, and senses people fleeing in terror.
