Husk used to be a high-ranking demon who dealt with souls. He loved gambling, but one day he challenged Alastor to a bet to turn around his debts and lost. Since then, he has been living almost as Alastor's slave.

Angel, on the other hand, is a demon known as a porn actor. He is very popular, but he cannot defy his employer, Valentino, and is mentally driven to the brink every day by the reality of his subservience.

These two share the common point of being controlled and deprived of their freedom! However, a fight in episode 4 triggers them to understand each other's situations, yet their spirits remain unbound. Even if they are 'losers,' they are not alone in the depths. This scene where they share this realization is really great! They are good friends, understanding companions, truly 'bad friends'!

These two, well, they don't get along at all. It's inevitable. Their feud started long before the story of Hazbin Hotel began.

Lucifer is the father of Charlie, the protagonist of this story. He was once an angel active in heaven and now serves as the king of hell as a fallen angel. He fled heaven with his wife Lilith for certain reasons and now appears from time to time, clumsily helping Charlie.

Adam is, so to speak, Lucifer's counterpart. He is one half of the first human created by the angels and the first human to come to heaven. Vox is a TV demon and the 'antagonist' in this story. He's not a 'villain'! He is the president of Voxtech and also a company talent! He is well-known as a TV personality, which is why he feels hostility towards Alastor, who is active as a radio MC.

On the other hand, Alastor is a radio demon. He has a very cruel personality, and while he helps with Charlie's plan to rehabilitate the demons living in hell, he has the ulterior motive of wanting to see the hopeless demons struggle and ultimately fall miserably to the bottom. So, he is very cooperative, but his true intention is to watch the struggling demons, which is quite sadistic.

By cooperating with Charlie's plan, Alastor brings Vox, who hates him, deeply into the story. Basically, they hate each other...... or rather, Vox seems to hate Alastor unilaterally, but it seems these two have a history......?

Charlie is the protagonist of Hazbin Hotel! She is a princess born in hell who wants to reduce the number of demons who fall victim to the annual purge by the angels! To achieve this, she establishes the rehabilitation facility, Hazbin Hotel. Her personality is so good that you might wonder 'Is she really a demon?' She is cheerful, honest, and bright, truly fitting for the protagonist of this story set in hell!

So, Alastor offers to help with Charlie's plan on his own. Charlie sees through his somewhat suspicious motives but is happy to accept the extra help. Alastor is gentlemanly when dealing with Charlie (maybe because she is a princess?). They form a strange and mismatched but highly popular duo in the story.

These two were particularly noticed when Hazbin Hotel became popular in Japan, or rather when it became available for viewing on video streaming sites!

Valentino is the director and owner of a film studio and Angel's boss. Angel has a contract with Valentino, and they have a relationship beyond just actor and director.

This master-slave...... rather, a forced subservience relationship, along with Angel's song Poison, became a huge hit on Japanese SNS, significantly raising the profile of Hazbin Hotel! This duo, with their relationship fitting the demons living in hell, likely made many people think 'Hazbin Hotel looks interesting!'

Not all episodes have been distributed as videos in Japan yet, so there are still relatively few doujinshi, but I think it will become a bigger hit when more episodes are released!
