Revo was appeared on “Kohaku Utagassen” 2013 as Linked Horizon, and it made him famous for public. He is a leader of musical group Sound Horizon. He describes the group, a fancy band. (・∀・)
Sound Horizon “Sanhora” has two special features.
One is that the members changes off with others often, and another is that the music is story based. Sanhora’s official member is only Revo! Σ(´∀｀；) Depending on CD albums or songs, singers get hired each time. His music is one and only. His sounds are based on metal and rock music but sometimes opera and folk music, or narration is mixed as spice. Sound Horizon’s songs are usually over 56 minutes, and musical compositions are complicated like progressive rock.
Also the lyrics strongly express stories especially their CD albums show magnificent stories (not only music but also album packages and illustrations.) You can see their originality at their live. They use large-scale stage settings, and many singers and performers appear by turns. It is musical-like live events.
The original their fantasy world with overwhelming entertainment makes funs who called citizens of Sanhora Kingdom drunk to the world. (ノд｀)
Until now, Sound Horizon has released many singles and albums. I recommend beginners for the first music to listen, “Seisen no Iberia” and “Halloween to Yoru no Monogatari”.
These are maxi singles but each story is completed by its own and not serialized. It’s not heavy for starter, very accessible I guess.
If you want to enjoy major style of Sanhora’s progressive music, listen to “Seisen no Iberia” or if you want to enjoy their music widely, listen to the latest single “Halloween to Yoru no Monogatari”.
Soud Horizon made a major debut in 2004, and it’s been 10years. At his live events in the fall of 2013, Revo looked back past brilliant nine years and felt disappointed.
